My mom bought clothes from this store as a gift for me, but I didn't like them, so I went to return them. However, I was told that only store credit was available for refunds. My mom was never informed that refunds were only given as store credit, and if she had known, she wouldn't have purchased the items as a gift without me being there.
These were not sale items—they were purchased at the original price—so we naturally assumed a regular refund would be possible, as this is a standard store policy. When I asked the staff whether they had informed my mom about the store credit refund policy at checkout, they simply insisted that they had, making it seem like we were lying.
When my mom was purchasing she spent a total of $2,500 at this store, and while taking her money, the staff seemed thrilled. But when it came to customer service, they made my mom wait away from the checkout counter, gave no clear refund policy explanation, and showed no concern for our situation. The employees and even the so-called Regional Manager sided with the staff, claiming there was no way they wouldn’t have informed us about the policy, treating us as if we were liars.
In the end, I had no choice but to accept store credit, meaning I have to go back and shop again just to use up the remaining balance. But honestly, I wouldn’t recommend shopping here. They deceived a customer, treated me poorly, and worst of all, made me feel like a liar when we spent my hard-earned money at their store.

I had a wonderful sales associate, Lena, who helped me pick out 2 items. She was courteous and polite. I would highly recommend her!

I am very disappointed with the customer service at this store and would discourage you from shopping here. I requested a change in my payment method due to a mistake, but the store manager told me there was no way to change the payment method I had used. When I inquired if she had communicated with her office to explore alternatives, she simply replied that she knew she couldn’t do anything, even after I explained that this meant I would have to pay in the wrong currency and incur extra fees. That’s what I would call poor customer service. In this day and age, it’s hard to believe a store has no way to change a client’s payment method. As the saying goes, 'where there’s a will, there’s a way,' and the problem is clear: there is no willingness to provide the level of customer service one expects from Max Mara. I recommend shopping elsewhere to avoid the headache.

My wife and I are happy to share the great experience with Mr. Teddy Chen in the Weekend MaxMara store in Metropolis Burnaby BC location store.My wife bought the black padding jacket but unfortunately, she found out some issue immediately so she contacted to sales person to solve the problem but not much supportive after sales so my wife was so worried about it because we need to come back to home in US at tomorrow. Fortunately, my wife could reach out Mr. Teddy Chen over the phone. although Mr. Chen was not sales person for my wife's jacket. he took care of everything for my wife to solve the problem with endless smiles. It was so amazing experience. we never met this great sales person in any store in US, Canada, ASIA, and even Europe. Mr. Chen is really amazing sales person and MaxMara sholud be proud of him!~.Thank you so much !~ Mr. Teddy Chen again!~Happy New Year 2024.

Please be cautious when you buy from the store. The sales associate will say their items have 3 day exchange/refund policy but this store only gives back store credit which is lying to their customers. They have little signs that are barely visible displayed in store saying no refunds, only exchange or store credit in 3 days. The staff will never admit their wrongings and say the policy is clearly displayed in store. Unprofessional store, unprofessional company, unprofessional staffs. Will never ever buy from any Maxmara store ever again.

Nice shopping experience at this store. My mom love the service in this store, she ask me leave a 5 stars comment. We shopped days ago, while we shop, the store was not so busy. Two ladies helped us, they show us many nice styles and give us great styling ideas. Nice collection! End up we bought some nice pieces. Very friendly and helpful sales associate. For sure will come back and shop here!
