The Wanakena Motel is a clean, quiet, and excellent value place to stay in Burns Lake. It offers the best rates in town and is considered a hidden little gem with great value. The rooms are nice, clean, and very comfortable, though some are dated and adorable. Many rooms are good-sized and include convenient amenities like a kitchenette. The motel has tons of space, a large parking lot, and well-kept grounds. It is located right on Highway 16, making it easy for drivers to stop, and is in a very quiet neighbourhood despite being near the highway. It is separated from town but not far, with lots of nearby businesses, shopping, and restaurants within a walkable distance. The owners are super amazing, friendly, congenial, and very attentive, contributing to an overall excellent experience. It is highly recommended as a top choice.
