Good selections for frozen ready-made-food. If you are into fusion food and love cooking, Freshmart next door has better authentic selection. IGA prices are on the high side. However, their bakery is best in town. They bake most of everything in store.

A limited amount of items, sometimes they forget to restock their items but other then that it’s great, what else could you expect from a small town grocery store with a small staff? Overall it’s pretty normal

They have a limited selection of items, but that's normal for a small town grocery. The service is decent & the store is clean.

Small store, so somewhat limited selection. Reasonably priced and pleasant staff. A good place to shop even if it is mostly a Sobeys.

I went to Chetwynd to get a full screen for my condo door in anticipating of another hot Summer, and I wandered into the local IGA since I saw an ad about Montreal Smoked Meat. With such an ample variety of cold cuts being displayed, I met Tammy and I asked her is they sold smoked meat. She said Montreal Smoked Meat and I said amazing. I then asked her with all the baked goods she was handling if they carried rye bread - and she said they had Winnipeg Rye bread, which was a close second to Deli rye bread. After the shopping trip, I rushed (really) home, which was 100kms away. After I had a smoked meat on rye with mustard, I felt I was experiencing the previously lost good old days again. About 2 weeks later, I went back to IGA and Tammy remembered me and asked me if I came for more rye bread and smoked meat and I said YES!. At this juncture, Tammy said their bread had just come out of the oven and if I had a little bit of shopping to do, she's being able to slice the loaves after they cooled off properly. At the same time, I saw a 3# brisket of smoked meat and I asked the lady there (sorry, but I forgot her name) if she'd be able to slice shave that entire brisket and she said happily. All in all, it was a great shopping experience with the help of ALL the employees there especially - Tammy, the mystery cold cut slicer and the manager Helen.

Bakery seems to be quite vast for this town, cashiers are great, toothpaste, shaving cream, hand soap and those types of products are easily accessible compared to other grocery stores nearby.Cashiers typically ask if you have an air-miles card upon purchase..Consider bringing your own bags, the Free large brown paper bags can be a bit inconvenient to carry, otherwise the reusable red cloth type bags are available for an extra cost.. hope this helps, thank you!
