A few years ago I had a meeting with an employee to discuss a banking matter, I had troubles understanding them due to communication issues, how soft they spoke and an accent. I mentioned this to one of the ladies at the front and in front of everyone at the branch, for everyone to hear, she said "Well I'm filipino and you can hear me just find so what is the matter with your ability to hear him" and she pointed at the person I had met with who happened to be not cacausian. I'm half black and my husband is half Indigenous so to even try to even make it about race in general but especially to someone of mixed heritage is ridiculous, unprofessional and disgusting. To publicly accuse me of being racist is actually deplorable. It had nothing to do with anyone's ethnicity, it was simply the fact he and I struggled to understand each other and I wanted to speak to someone else, even he agreed since he also had issues understanding me. That woman along with another lady that frequently works there are miserable, unprofessional, rude individuals and because of them I left CIBC despite having been with them since I was a literal child when I was first set up with a bank account.

The staff are not friendly super slow condescending and theres never more than 1 teller working at any time.

I go every pay day to deposit my cheques at this branch of CIBC, and everytime they are excellent. Especially when Gizella helps me, she is always very friendly and answers all my questions.

This place is excellent. I have booked appointment with jasmeen pannu she is very polite, good communication, good clarification of about my concerns. In my whole banking experience nobody give me back reply whenever I call or email to the representative about my concerns but jasmeen pannu give me reply at the same time and she never fed up even ask so many questions online. I strongly recommend to jasmeen pannu and everytime when I have any concerns about my banking needs I book appointment with jasmeen..

This branch is horrible! I don’t have accounts with CIBC but 2 of my family members passed away who had accounts that I had to finalize their estates with. When my uncle passed I used the one downtown and they were really good at explaining everything and helping me. When my father passed I went with this branch as it’s closer to my house. First the lady who was setting up the estate acct kept having to ask her manager for help because she had no idea what she was doing. Kept telling me I’d have to be approved….. I was shocked to hear this as it’s an estate acct not a new acct. I wanted to get the managers explanation as I wasn’t understanding this lady. He did not explain it that well and contradicted himself. Everything they said when I repeated that’s what they said they denied it. No one in there knows all the rules around estate accts…. Or at least the folks who are there when I need to go do banking for my family members who have passed.
Not to mention there’s always one staff on and long line up. DO NOT RECOMMEND! I would have picked negative stars if it was available!

I phone into today to try and set up an appointment to get my daughter a savings account. I was told they were too busy today, so I tried for the next Saturday. I needed an apt before 11, we tried 3 weeks out then 4 weeks. nothing at the time I requested. I called the downtown chilliwack location and they were able to see us today and made the whole experience quick and easy

As a returning 10+ year customer in the past I am extremely disappointed in this branch in particular. I get physical paycheques and every time I go in branch to deposit they try to hold it for 5 business days. Every single time. When I re-opened my account I let them know about this before hand and they said it should not be a problem. It's been nothing but a problem and the staff are always so short and rude, always acting like I am the problem. Not to mention you can have five people behind the counter just talking amongst themselves and won't even look twice at you if you're in line. Honestly just an awful experience. Will look at switching banks again most likely
