Just had the worst experience with this store - total incompetence. Tomorrow is Father’s Day so I bought a large brisket to put on the smoker. There are 2 stores that sell “meat church” meat rub in the Fraser valley; one in Chilliwack (this one) and one in Langley - I live in central Abbotsford, so about same distance to both (about 43km). I phone the store and ask if they have a specific meat rub and am told that they just received a shipment and have the one I am asking about. I drive a little over 30 minutes and 43km to go there and arrive 10 minutes before they close - guess what - THEY DONT HAVE IT. I called and specifically asked 2 hours earlier and the person confirmed they had lots. I could have went to Langley, but didn’t because of my phone call 1 now it’s too late and I have a $100 brisket to cook overnight tonight. Managers response - “sorry, I don’t know what to tell you”. Not sure what I was expecting, but if I were in that position, I would have said something like “I realize we don’t have what you called about, and I’m really sorry - I can’t change that. How can I make it right? Can I get you a different one on the house? Can I cover your fuel for your drive out as it was 100% our fault? Can I take your number and call when it’s in?” None of that.
The world isn’t ending as I can go buy a few spices and make a rub (not as good as the one I was after), but that’s not the point.
Not impressed.

Was looking for the Stressless leather care kit. Turned out to be a complicated matter!!! Until I found GP Home furniture. Very helpful. Informative messages answering MY questions and requests. I know that buying over the www is not a big deal. But some places still dont know how to manage it. In sharp contrast, GP answered my questions acurately and quickly. And immediately did what it was supposed to do (a relief after a bad experience). I have now received the package (ontime and in excellent shape). Thanks GP Home furniture !

We have been shopping at GP (formerly Grand Pappy’s) Furniture & Appliances for decades. We just recently purchased a new laundry set and once again it was a very pleasant experience from Barb the sales associate to Brad and his partner (sorry didn’t get partner’s name) who delivered and set up the new laundry set. And the fresh baked cookies from Cabin Fever Bakery on delivery day was a nice touch. Well done GP Furniture team. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable too.

Avoid like the plague. The appliance salesperson does not have a clue what he is doing. Worst service I have ever experienced. Will not even answer the phone when you have a problem. Also forgot to give us extended warranties and now we cannot get them for the same term even though we noticed when the appliances were just delivered. Terrible, terrible service can't even spell my name right after numerous attempts. Sad state of affairs. And speaking to the owner has not helped at all. All he told me to do was call the manufacturer. We received the dryer in December and it is now the end of March and it is still not working.

Run, don't walk from GE!Bought new GE washer and dryer. After 3 months washer started making noises. After 7 weeks of service calls machine is now disabled, and has metal debris in the tub. Repair guy says needs a replacement and these machines are poorly made. GE says it can be repaired. This will hardly be a new machine by the time there done whenever that might be.Grand Pappy's leaves You to deal with the manufacturer, who of course could care less !Should have repaired my old machine and saved my money.Buy from Costco, they actually stand behind Warranty.*Update - 20 days now still no machine. GE transfers your call to a manager who never call back. Platinum Appliances services who deals with GE repairs doesn't call back either. Not sure which of the 2 care less.Never experienced such a lack of customer service on any purchase before in my life. Can't get money back and can't get a new replacement.. This was bought at Grand Pappys, they sell this brand then they should stand behind it!*After 22 days with no machine Grand Pappys gave me a replacement. Grateful but upset that it took soo long for a resolution.I foresee this machine failing pre maturely as well. Machine is level, Only doing half loads and sounds like it's coming apart on spin cycle..Numerous solutions allegedly offered was a loaner machine that I could pick up and return. Then after much complaining there was an offer to upgrade me for alot more money to some front load machines. Last offer was only made in the last few days of this headache.Update washer broke again.DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY. WASTE OF MONEY!!2 months with no washer now. Horrible service.

I have always been impressed with the store and the furniture etc that it offered. The end of May, I visited the store and purchased a mattress. Was told it would be 2-3 weeks. My mattress was just delivered yesterday, July 6 (5 weeks later). I had contacted the store several times to confirm my order and at no time did the store contact me to advise there had been delays. I was not impressed that the store never contacted me to advise the delays until I called. The delivery fellows were great and I do love the mattress. I would shop there again, but hopefully there won't be any issues with the products.

Shop with confidence! GP sells beautiful, high-quality products, and they they have your back if any issues arise.I ordered an incredible bed frame from GP and ran into some issues with the product (it was not GPs Fault). The sales manager, Brian, went to great lengths to make sure that I was satisfied with my purchase. I am grateful for my experience with GP and would gladly shop here again.
