This is the most dishonest shop I have dealt with..... EVER. Or they have no mechanics with any experience.
$775 for an oil change on a Chevrolet 2500. I was expecting an invoice in the neighborhood of $450 for what I had asked to be done.
They changed the oil along with my fuel and air filters. They charged me $145 plus taxes to change a spin on fuel filter. I checked the price of the filter and they charged me almost $100 above the cost. They charged me $43 plus taxes to do the air filter and again almost $100 mark up on the filter alone.
Then they gave me a list of problems I have with the truck..... my battery on the left side ( I have 2 batteries) needed replacement......the battery is one year old.
They told me the brake fluid was dark and needed to have a flush for about $135 plus taxes..... and most likely a labour charge.
The brakes were completely redone including pads and rotors on all 4 corners less than 3 months before so the fluid was done then.
I was told the steering was making a noise when turned, I asked what that means and the tech walked in and proceeded to tell me it was most likely the CV boot..... I asked you mean the 4 wheel drive boot that covers the axle..... he replied ....yes .... then I told him my truck is a 2 wheel drive so that part is not on my truck. He was under it to change the oil..... he would have seen it was a 2 wheel drive. ( Unless of course he doesn't know what a 4x4 looks like from the bottom view)
I got a phone call to inform me it would take 1.5 hours to remove my rear drive shaft and put grease in it. ( a common problem with GM) I have done this myself before in approximately 30 to 40 minutes. I told them to NOT do it.
The amount of dishonesty had me so mad I couldn't even speak to these people.
I sold tools to mechanics for years and I know vehicles. I have seen lots of quality shops. So I know I was ripped off by this one.
I will never go back to this shop but I WILL tell everyone I can about how I was treated so badly by this shop.
Also they get you sign in the vehicle on the top of the second page and you don't get to see the first page. BE AWARE.
As to your reply..... I was not told of any detailed cost before the work was done.
For you to show me your cost of parts would mean I would have to come back...... not happening.
As for you showing me any charges I was presented with page 2 to sign in the truck and as you know only the line to sign is on page 2. I never saw the first page.
As for cv joint. ... nice cover up for a reply.
About me storming out. I was about to lose my temper as I had just being bent over a barrel and ripped off.
Also the mechanic didn't even reset the life left for the oil or fuel filter .... probably a good thing as it would have probably cost me another unreasonable cost.
I am going to make it my hobby to inform the most people I can or meet about your shop.

We just had work done on our 2014 Jeep Cherokee at Kirkpatrick Auto, and couldn’t be more happy with the level of service received from the service desk, to the technicians and from the owners. We received communication throughout the duration the vehicle was in their possession with everything being explained clearly. Everyone we dealt with was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely be returning customers and would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy auto shop!

Kirkpatrick is a very busy shop but they always put client first. The service advisors Colton and Nicole are well spoken and very knowledgable and have top notch customer service. Even though they are very busy, they take their time explaining everything and understand the client needs.
The shop is very clean, has free wifi and refreshments. Its conveniently located in Chilliwack.
I was here for an out of province inspection. Brett and Luuk made sure that my out of province car is safe to be driven in BC. They have great attention to detail and never oversell or overcharge. They gave me the opportunity to take care of the items that needed attention and offered their services for the bigger jobs that I am not able to DIY. They did not charge for reinspection fee as long as I brought the car back within 30 days.

Kirkpatrick misdiagnosed my diesel pickup, they charged me 1350$ (400 parts 950$ in labour and diagnosis) on repairs that unfortunately did not fix the problem. They did however follow through and repair my truck (not charging me labour), with the second correct part (50-100$) (this part is recommended to solve this specific engine code as well) which is much easier to install and a better starting point, that in my opinion should not have been overlooked by a professional diesel mechanic. I was not very happy with the outcome of the first install (1350$) that did not repair the truck so I asked to split 50/50 on only the labour cost of that transaction as a fair compromise for myself and Kirkpatrick. The Manager Brett refused and informed me they already have too much time into my truck on diagnosis and this can be the hardest part of repairs.
I take no pleasure leaving a negative write up like this. I do believe the shop foreman/part owner??(Luke I think is his name??) Is a qualified, knowledgeable and honest mechanic. This initial repair was purely oversight and in the end my truck did end up being repaired properly. I would
have just liked to see it handled differently on the management side.
All of this being said, I was disappointed with this and will not be a returning customer.

I was going to Other place that says it does Total car care .. chain across from Shoppers they have2 locations..very disappointed there not honest..Went to Kirkpatrick ,wow what a difference, honestly so fair ,competitive pricing ,with very qualified techs and they actually care , want your business and they give SERVICE.. when your ride is done ,it's done right !! And to top it off they give you a car wash !!!! The other place is horrible little place wants to just upsell you ..come to Kirkpatrick for all your service needs you will not be dissatisfied.

I took my truck in as stability, abs, and drive train light were on. They diagnosed the problem quickly and had it fixed in less than 48hrs during the Christmas holiday season. Amazing staff, listened to my concerns , drove me home and picked me up. Will go to them for all my repairs from now on.

Had my engine light come on directly following service (oil change & headlight replacement). Called the shop to be told by Brett (a manager/owner) via his receptionist that it "has absolutely nothing to do with the service they performed and if I wanted them to look at it I could book a new appointment ($$$)". Before I could digest this, Colton - to his absolute credit - got on the line and brought me in for a courtesy diagnostic. This is a basic service standard imo that apparently the owner lacks. They cleared a bunch of codes as they couldn't figure out the issue and car was driving fine, but noted it could need a deeper diagnostic that they were not prepared to do that day (fair).A few weeks later, light came on again so I took it to the dealer. I was told my oil had been overfilled and was leaking into my engine. Thankfully no major damage was done (to my car - my wallet is another story) and they were able to simply drain out the excess oil.I definitely do not recommend this shop to anyone.

Only five stars, because that is as good as it gets. I had a car built there and had specific requests and conditions. Idle smoothly, no overheating, AC blows cold. For a custom car build, these are big asks. I am pleased to report that my car is wonderful, smooth, fast, AC is cold. My car brings me such joy and I have you guys to thank.Services: Transmission
