I have been meaning to provide feedback regarding the grooming service at this particular location of Petsmart (Coquitlam) for a while now.
I would strongly recommend not booking your grooming session with the individual named Mona. I have had her for my dog's grooming a few times in the past and realized only after I switched locations that this person is not supposed to be handling animals.
Mona is not an animal person and tends to treat you and your dog like massive inconveniences to her otherwise wonderful day.
And dogs being the sensitive and smart creatures they are pick up on this negative attitude.
So Mona will then proceed to label your pet all sorts of scary names on their file ('aggressive', 'nervous') which is harmful in how the dog is received and treated on all future appointments.
Thankfully switching locations and discussing this attitude problem with the new location made everyone realize where the problem lies.
I would highly encourage the Coquitlam location management to look into this matter more closely and ensure the grooming staff are selected from those who actually like working with animals.

Lazy groomers. If you don't want to groom dogs then just take a sick day.

This PetSmart in Coquitlam had a VERY sick gerbil when I visited the location today. I won’t go into detail, but it was awful and traumatic to see this poor little thing suffering. This also means they are likely not frequently checking on the caged animals in store, which should be against every policy ever! I immediately notified staff, but please be weary. 😭

My partner and I went into PetSmart tonight looking to restock on puppy food, and we ended up meeting Emma — she was amazing help and we ended up signing up for puppy classes which we are super excited about! Thanks for all your help, Emma.

Brought our 2 yr old small dog in to get a haircut and they called us to come pick him up not even 10 minutes after dropping him off saying he was not sitting still. Barley gave him 10 mins to calm down and the girls there looked inexperienced and didn’t seem like they knew how to handle dogs. Waste of our time.

The staff always treat me nice and are willing to help me with my pet needs! I never get eny deals here money wise. ..You pay alot for everything unless you buy it after , like Christmas stuff after Christmas....parking is good , further down the lot is all the meat heads sitting in tesla cars charging, the worst fatburger ever , poorly lit dollar store... ikea is across the swamp . Enjoy
