The stand in doctor (Dr.Fong) For Dr.Chang (while he’s on a month long vacation currently) was completely rudely sassy to me with an attitude When I had a big concern And completely brushed me off When I was in complete confusion because the reception lady Seem to have given me false information when I called about a concern the other day. What happened was:I called the office last week To speak to them about a concern of a previous surgery and originally I was happy since she spoke with me for a while helping me with my questions and gave me lots of information about what they could do for me. She offered to book me in for a call Thursday from the surgeon's office in Burnaby (in which I confirmed it will be from THEM a few times, and she clearly said “yes it will be”) and booked me in Friday for an in-person appointment here with dr.fong for my other concerns. When I got the call that was supposed to be from the surgeons office this morning (as per the receptionist) it was from Dr.Fong. I was confused and he didn’t even understand what this call was for. I tried to explain my conversation I had with her to him so he may understand where we are in the process but he had a completely sassy attitude And didn’t even try to understand where I was coming from.. Basically cutting me off and telling me “well I don’t know who the receptionist was, I never talk to them nor do I know them much” which I told him I get, it’s not his fault and that’s why I was explaining, he kept replying in a sarcastic tone & I was getting very upset at his response towards my concerns. he eventually said he’ll talk to the receptionist and call me back and quickly hung up on me.A minute later he called back and said the reception lady told him she ‘never’ told me a lot of what she actually told me that day.I told him that because of previous experience I’ve had before, I made sure 100% to confirm everything she told me back to her and she confirmed it back, But now I’m not sure why she would be telling him differently.I told him it’s not his fault that she’s giving us different answers and that’s he’s been left in the dark (seemed like she never left any notes for him either), he then replied rudely cut me off and saying to just come in for my In person appointment tomorrow(Friday) and listed out the reasons I’d be coming in for.(One of my concerns I told Dr. Fong about was for an adhd questionnaire) so when he mentioned that, he exactly said “…and you’re coming in for your adhd which may be the cause of this.” So I asked what he meant by that, and he kept saying that I was confused and I must be getting everything confused and wrong BECAUSE of my adhd.I was very upset with his attitude towards me and now He’s blaming it on something I’m not even diagnosed for.He shouldn’t be Doubting a patient so far to a point of rudely jabbing at them with rude comments about their confusion BECAUSE of them.I told him I’m not happy with the way he’s speaking to me as he’s been rude to me from the start.and he once again brushed that off, cut me off and told me again to just come in tomorrow for my inperson appointment.Never Properly explaining to me What I would need to do for this specific concern. With the rude remarks the whole call, Why would he think after all this I’m able to trust him and be comfortable with HIM helping me with my worries??I have lost trust with this office as it’s not the first time I’ve had an unhappy experience and this one was the absolute worst of them all. Especially with dr.fongs attitude from the beginning. This is unfortunate because this is my family doctor office my whole life and Ive always returned with hopeful trust. That being said Dr.Chang has at least never given me this kind of attitude and helped me with each concern I’ve had thought he always kept it short. This experience was unbelievable And I don’t even think they’re going to do anything about this.

I have never have any problem with Tri-city Family Practice before. But there is one kinda new receptionist super rude. All other receptions are very kind and friendly. I knew it will be hard whenever I call the dr’s office and that new lady answers it. I wish she is gone.

Very rude receptionist, highly. We're calling because we are sick, not to feel even worse. Terrible.

Have our family doctor Dr. David Warner here and he’s been my doctor for roughly fifteen years. Professional, competent and a kind doctor. I am lucky to have him as my doctor. My wife and I see him for our health issues. We have already moved to another, more distant city but I will keep my doctor and his clinic, endure the occasional drive out, just to continue with the benefits I get from their services. The Tri City Family Practice medical clinic is an exceptional clinic in terms of observing adherence to appointment schedules. You can expect them to respect your time. None of those horror stories of waiting an hour or more for a doctor to see you for your scheduled appointment.Receptionists are almost entirely very accommodating and empathetic. “Almost” because there is an occasional flaw by one. Nothing that added training and positive feedback can’t fix. Definitely will endure the inconvenience in exchange for the on-time scheduled appointments and professionalism of the three doctors here. (If you need to urgently see your doctor at a certain date and he’s unavailable there is always another physician who can be scheduled to see you.)
