Absolutely horrible experience with “supervisor” islea or isla. I work in law enforcement in the community and on Monday Nov 27 2023 i was wrongfully accused by her of stealing. I had paid for an item in full when she came out of nowhere and grabbed my purchased for item. She then quickly scurried to the back room for around 15 minutes whilst i awaited a refund or my purchased item? She returned and said “okay they said you can have it” i asked to speak to a manager which she then said she was the manager and did nothing wrong. I worked in loss prevention for 6 years in order to accuse someone of stealing you must have the following steps:Selection: picking the item up from its sale pointConcealment: concealing the item or other means of stealing it.Failure to pay: not paying for the itemPassing all points of saleExit: passing all points of sale without exiting. These were not met,no apology was made. For a customer who donates thousands to value village this is not acceptable and a huge case of defamation of character

Donate good items anywhere else that actually are a not for profit. There are so many hospital, church and other not for profit where over 50 % of the cash they make actually goes to places and people on needVV is now gouging in prices ..pricing up what used to be the fun of shopping second hand... finding the good vintage and valuable pieces. And less than 10 % of their profit goes to charity. What charity we don't know for sure..we also do not know what they mean by profit. Hey their CEO s could be making hundreds of thousands of dollars every year. Essentially VV is a corporation owned by big chain stores. Donations should be made to your local communities NOT greedy corporations.

Lots of good things! Although, I’ve Been going here for probably 5+ years and have noticed that the prices have skyrocketed/ there’s no consistent pricing. One gap tshirt will be $15 wheras the same brand and similar shirt will be $5. Not great

Of course it depends when the store is restocked, but when I went there was so much selection! I found a good pair of shoes (Wich is difficult for me, I'm size 10.5 women's) and there were also lots of fall merchandise, like Halloween costumes and sweaters.

I got the worst anxiety attack after coming into this place. It says a lot about here because thrift stores actually help alleviate my anxiety a bit. Aisles are so narrow that in order to squeeze past someone, you'd have to be touching cheeks to cheeks. All overpriced junk - clothing was in generally terrible condition, stuff I wouldn't even use for rags. How the heck did it make it onto the rack? And why the heck do they think $18.99 for a pair of used mall brand jeans is reasonable? This place reeks and shows goes to show what greedy scum VV is. Reminds me almost of Seattle.

This place is a hit or miss. Not sure how they price their items, but some items seem overpriced. If you have time and willing to look through what they have then occasionally you will find a gem.

There is something wrong with the staff. The prices are too high they don't make sense and the staff treats people like garbage. They need to make changes or they are going to go out of business.Get rid of them NOW

Has continued to be more expensive, less accessible, and greedier year after year. Ive always known they're a private company, but if the prices aren't reasonable- cmon man.No change rooms since the pandemic because they realize that's more profitable. More loss prevention and less actual staff working the floors. You can see they clearly care about profits over any sense of community or charity. Miserable company. I feel for the staff that have to enforce such a miserable experience that just leaches life from communities. :(

This is a massive store. There are household items, some sports equipment, some furniture and a lot of clothes. Clothing is somewhat organized (this is probably a challenge because of sheer volume). One thing to note is that there is no changing room available. Clothing items can be returned up to two weeks after purchase so you can take things home to try them on. The lack of a change room was a big deterrent for me.

Very greedy organization, everything in that store is very expensive, their inventory is all donations from local people , their prices are more expensive than London drugs! I don't know why people are shopping at value village! It's a rip off store full of garbage at a high price! I spotted a small candle in a jar priced at 3.99 , I looked at the button of the jar, it was from Dollar store and priced 2 dollars! Just like Nestle, the Swiss company , Value Village takes our free donations and sell it back to us with a highway rubbery price It's time to say NO to American greedy companies and support local thrift stores.

I was paying for a pair of boots when I asked if my coupon for women's clothing also applied. I thought she was going to ask a manager but when she came back she had changed the sticker price from 10.99 to 14.99! I couldn't believe it! She said the sticker was changed and that 10.99 was not the correct sticker, even though the sticker read "women's boots". They then said, "we're not saying you did it..." I was shocked! I am a grown woman asking for help and they then put a higher sticker price on! Not to mention, if I had changed the sticker, as if I'd bring more attention to myself by asking for help. I did not buy them out of principle. I wanted to get out of there as fast as I could! This VV also doesn't have the best treasures at the best prices.

EXTREMELY overpriced! And priced by somebody who doesn't know differences in quality or design. Costco dress shirts are the same price as buying them brand new from Costco! Not worth it if I could zero stars I would!

Way overpriced for most items. Also I wanted to buy a watch but the battery might have been dead as it wasn't working, but they wouldn't give me a refund option if it wasn't working or change a battery so I could see if it actually worked.

Very unreasonable expensive items. For used items that they receive free and sell it almost like new price. For example I saw a pair of rubber shoes that you can buy brand new in dollarama for $4 , was prices $8. So that is just one item.

Just started going to this one lately, guys at back door great for giving the coupons with your donations. Not great selection of toys for kids, many many dresses for women. Things are gone very expensive but I feel less guilty with the coupon lol. But I like it, it's clean
