I must express my deep disappointment with the experience I had at Vancity and this branch. Today, on July 25th, 2023, around 10:30 am, my wife and I visited the bank to address an issue with a pre-authorized payment that was mistakenly returned. Unfortunately, the encounter left much to be desired.We were greeted by an employee named Connie, whose attitude was less than courteous. She did not acknowledge the bank's mistake and did not offer any solutions. Instead, she seemed dismissive and defensive in her responses, which was disheartening considering she works in customer service.While we attempted to explain our concerns, Connie's demeanor became increasingly unprofessional. She appeared visibly upset and eventually left the till to wander around the bank lobby in tears, stating that she didn't deserve such treatment. This made the situation quite awkward for us and other customers present.Thankfully, after speaking with the manager, we received a proper explanation for the payment issue, and they promptly refunded the amount. However, the negative impression had already been made.As a result of this encounter, my wife and I have decided to move all our banking elsewhere, and the pre-authorized payment has been set up with another financial institution. We believe this is the best course of action to avoid similar unpleasant experiences in the future.In conclusion, I suggest potential customers consider their options carefully before choosing Vancity. While not the worst bank overall, our particular encounter with the branch and employee left much to be desired in terms of professionalism and customer service.

Knowledgeable, friendly service.I have been a member for over 40 years and have for some time done my banking online. But there are some things that require going into a branch. They do take the time to assist the client with multiple tasks, but at times, waiting in line can be a test for ones patience. Some of us only need one type of transaction processed, so instead of having one line for business clients and one or two for everyone else, why not keep the business line and have another for clients with multiple transactions and the 3rd line for those clients with only one transaction.

Kind staff, lots of parking in underground lot. Can be difficult to access for anyone with mobility difficulties due to steep hill and distance to parking. They had plenty of staff working at the time, everyone smiles and seems nice

Randomly closed on a weekday when it says they're open online. Closure info not available on their website, and no way to call individual branches to check (just redirects to the general Vancity number). Thanks guys, way to take care of your customers.

This branch has been in the community for a long time has changed locations and gone through some staff changes but one of the best there is Joe Tomaino and he has been around for a while. If you ever need a loan or excellent customer service go see Joe.

Today I had a very bad experience at this branch . I went there to avail cash for my cheque as I did from other van city branches however did not face any issue . The experience was bad and wasted my 20 min and returned without cash

Yesterday I went to Vancity (Brunette Ave. Coquitlam), I was wearing my acrylic mask, the cashier asked me if those masks were authorized and I said yes. Suddenly she stands up and another lady appears offering me a disposable mask, I said thank you but no. I have my doctor's card that for health reasons I cannot use those. I showed them my exemption card and they told me that as a rule of Vancity they could not treat anyone with that type of mask. They TOOK ME OUT of the bank and told me to wait outside. It was the most embarrassing and humiliating thing that ever happened to me. In the end, I asked for all my money to be handed over to me and they gave it to me in the parking lot. I will never ever return to Vancity what a unpleasant staff. I am going to tell all my friends and family to cancel their accounts in Vancity and they better go to another bank, where they know how to treat people with dignity and respect. Vancity what a shame of an institution. Trampling on human and rights and without respect for sick people. Brenda Mah (Branch Manager) and Lisa Solnordal (Assistant Branch Manager) you don't deserve to be in a place to serve costumers.

This little, rustic bank - now a larger, nicer looking branch- has not bettered its customer service. The hours are not convenient for a working person who needs to go into the branch, and when you do, the tellers are cold and disrespectful.
