I have gotten both really good and really bad cuts at Great Clips. Unfortunately, I won't be back anytime soon because of what happened yesterday. I signed up online which was actually really helpful, and when I went in they were able to get me in early which was awesome! I got my hair washed and cut by a lady in her mid forties, but she spoke very little English, so communication was very poor. She almost forgot to wash my hair at all, but when she did I got one of the best scalp massages of my life so that was amazing! I showed her a picture of what I wanted, as well as explain it to her that I really liked the length of my hair and wanted to keep that but just have a little tiny trim as well as some slightly feathered ends, just in the very front, and she understood. Or so It seemed. First off, she cut off way too much hair and all in one go, so I was not able to tell her to stop cutting. She also parted my hair weird, and that made the cut turn out different than what I asked for. I wanted her to take off about half an inch worth of hair and I saw that she had taken off about three inches. I am writing this review because I want everyone to know that if you do not want just a simple straight cut Great Clips turns out to not be so great and to find somewhere else. I also thought that the prices were a bit much for a simple cut and wash, it was $35, and this is for a kid's cut. After I got this haircut I went home and cried. It was not at all what I wanted and I will not be going back to Great Clips. I now know that it will take me years to grow it back and my hair looks bad for the time being.
Edit: I also realized that my hair is all different lengths so I look really strange and I am really unhappy about this terrible experience.

You're really rolling the dice here. I've had the best and worst haircuts of my life from Great clips. Including two stylists who never sectioned the hair, just gave me the weed wacker cut. It's what you'd expect from these kinds of places so I can't be too choked. When you luck out its amazing. I wish you could make appts with specific stylists but the check in online option is great.

If you want a very simple, blunt cut for a cheap price, this is the place to go. If you want layers or anything else more advanced than a straight across cut, find somewhere else.Requested style: I asked for a chin-length layered A-line cut & got a shoulder-length, blunt, straight across trim. Thought a wash was standard with any cut, but they just misted my hair with a spray bottle before the cut. Was told layers "wouldn't work with my hair" (they do). Went somewhere else for the cut I actually wanted a couple weeks later.

Online check-in is brilliant! The haircut was only $14 plus tip. Amazing value for a great, simple kids' cut. Impressed with the hairdresser who cut my daughter's hair.
