The work got done in the end is the best I can say about my experience at Hemstalk. The customer service was atrocious with no communication unless I called them.
The upgrade took longer than I was quoted, they kept the truck overnight with no indication beforehand this might be the case, and charged over what the original quote was. They didn't call me to ensure I was okay with the extra cost and work, instead they decided for me what work would be completed.
Turned out their parts supplier sold me an extra part I didn't need and they assumed that I wanted that part installed as well. Yet I had never asked for, nor authorized, this work.
Had they given me a call to say 'hey, we misquoted you and realize now the job is larger than anticipated' we could have had a conversation about it so I could understand why the truck would be finished late and the bill would be more than agreed upon. Instead they simply decided to do more work than necessary and bill me for it.
I was looking for a private mechanic more honest and upfront than a dealer. I'll keep looking.

I wish I could give this company more than 5 stars. Sometimes in life things don't go as planned and when this happens, you want to be dealing with a company with integrity. They took on my 2010 toyota matrix and within the day they had diagnosed and repaired it with a lot less time and $ than we were all expecting! The fellow at the desk was incredibly kind and honest with the entire process. Thank you team! 💚
