We wished we had read the reviews before we went here, but went off the recommendation off another place as they were too full.
Communication is very poor, but maybe we are used to exceptional service in New Zealand.
The communication between the mechanics and front desk is TERRIBLE, the receptionist looks terrified to ask them anything (I understand after we saw first hand how they talk to her). We had to ring 3 times (over a span of 5 hours) in an afternoon to try and get an update as we were sitting there in limbo when they indicated it should be ready that day when we dropped it off (they said they would ring back once having talked to the mechanic). At the last minute 4:45pm they rang to say our vehicle won’t be ready today which is very poor. We then had to scramble to find accomodation for the night (costing more money).
We came in to sit in the office for the next day while it was being worked on (no other place to go and wanted to have updates rather than no communication at all). Heard one of the mechanics yelling at the reception lady, not OK at all, treat your staff & colleagues with the respect they deserve.
ALL we wanted was some sort of update/timeframe on when it would be completed so we could book accomodation or not, but that seemed to piss them off (we were polite, I really tried to be calm about it but when they start saying sarcastic remarks it really is hard to not get upset, so I had to leave for a moment to cry outside). We were not expecting miracles or it be done 10x faster than normal, just some simple respectful communication of if we have to make other plans or not for the evening. The mechanic came in and said it’s done and slammed the paperwork on the desk to the receptionist. How bloody RUDE when we spent over $1,600.
Everyone looks miserable here so only come as a last resort.
Both the owner and son were ARROGANT and awful with what they say to customers and their staff. Not the nice Canadian people we expected.

I was coming through town on my way to Nelson. Injector went, they were great and had me going the next day. However I made it 160 km down the road. I called the owner and he said bring it back. Well I was closer to my destination than I was at this place. I would’ve needed to tow it and get another hotel room. I strongly believed it was a different problem then the new injector he just put in, so had it towed to a closer shop. The other shop said it was the new injector that was faulty. I tried many times to get ahold of the owner to see if there was something else to try but never called back. After confirming it was the same injector that was faulty he ignored my calls. I even stopped in on my way back through and gave a copy of the invoice to show a reputable chev dealer did the work and the procedures they went through. The guy would not talk to me. The receptionist said he was too busy. So I had to eat the cost of both the injector he replaced plus the new one that replaced the one he put in. I was happy at first, but he does not stand behind his work, so beware.

Rating should be a ZERO. Fooled twice by them, several years apart.Locals that I've spoken with all have similar experiences with them. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS *SHOP* They will *find* things to fix that don't need fixing.

Great service! As an out of towner, they got me in quickly and repaired my vehicle at a very reasonable cost. I would easily recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

Called to get an approx quote. He said Rudly if you have to ask you don’t have enough money .Thanks my wife and I are both disabled money is tight this guy is arrogant and rude I would not recommend. This shop ??

We use this gentleman back in October 2021 and he was the cheapest but he also required that we give him a tip because he came in on a Saturday. He was very rude with us he was very short with us and he seemed to not have any people skills whatsoever. I called him today March 2020 to ask him if he could give a copy of our receipt and he said well I'm going to do it but I won't do it for free you're going to have to pay me. This guy will not do anything for anyone else unless there's money involved he is a real Scrooge McDuck if you don't have to use him don't use him

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am going out of my way to not use this location anytime in the future. I would rather be completely inconvenienced than deal with the man at the front desk raising his arms and voice at me again.

We picked up a U-Haul rental here. We had checked in via the app and the website told us to go inside to pick up the key. However, the guy working there didn't care. He actually said "I don't care". He insisted on doing the check-in again and changed our drop off location. He is not familiar with U-Haul's system of online check-in and gives customers attitude if they try to use it. He kept us for another 20 minutes inside while he did the paperwork again.U-Haul promises sanitizing, however, when we arrived the guy was in the truck. He got out and greeted us, clearly without sanitizing.The truck was filthy inside and out, and our 2 dozen blankets that we reserved weren't there. To top it all off, when he did the paperwork for the second time for us, he put in the wrong drop off location.I had to come home and spend half an hour talking to U-Haul getting a refund for the blankets and changing my drop off location to the correct one.If you want attitude and someone who doesn't know how U-Haul works, this is the place!

I was worried about picking up our Uhaul rental here because of the bad ratings. Unfortunately Uhaul had to switch us here last minute because the other location in town didn't have a truck available.Sure enough the service was as poor as it gets.Rude, missing equipment, dirty truck and no online pickup!Also the air in the tires where way off. Front right had 80 psi, as it should, front left had only 65 psi. In the rear all tires were low with the worst one at 55 psi!I will avoid this place in the future at all cost.
