We had an amazing time with my 2 toddlers at Emma Lea farm. Started off at the playground, then fed the donkeys, run through the oat maze trail, and then we selected a couple of pumpkins. Staff were amazing, kids loved the muddy puddles, and we grabbed a frozen apple pie for home, great way to spend the morning.

Such a lovely and charming farm. It's got a great location - we crossed the river to get there and saw so many beautiful migratory birds. I love the farm itself; they had firewood burning in a bucket, and the gentle smoke in the air gave it such a cozy autumn vibe. The music, the vibe, and the friendly staff all made the experience awesome. I'd love to visit again.

Emma Lea Farms in Delta, BC, is a family-owned farm that has been operating since 1885. It is a popular destination for agritourism, offering visitors a farm market, an ice cream shoppe, and seasonal activities like a strawberry and blueberry u-pick, as well as a pumpkin patch in the fall. The farm also has a playground, a sandbox, and miniature donkeys for visitors to see.
The Ice Cream Shoppe serves ice cream cones, milkshakes, sundaes, smoothies, and baked goods. Our families were curious about the apple pie milkshakes and the pumpkin pie milkshakes. We decided to give them a try and wow no regrets. My personal favourite was the pumpkin. It wasn’t overly sweet!
Seasonal Events: Hosts a pumpkin patch in October and other events like Apple Fest.
Location: Situated on Westham Island in Ladner, accessible by a historic wooden bridge.
Family friendly. Always support local.

I enjoyed a very delicious pumpkin pie shake here, and got to try the cider as well which was great. The views are hard to beat, and this is a very family friendly place. Support local businesses and come here!

Very cool place to hangout by a real fire and get some fresh air. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ordered the chili and hot apple cider which were delicious but came out cold. Easy fix and was corrected right away.

A great place for family fun! They offer blueberry and strawberry picking depending on the season. There’s an area where they sell selected produce and retail items.
The main attraction is the delicious ice cream served with fresh blueberries and strawberries. You can choose from soft or hard ice cream. Not an ice cream fan, try a milkshake, sundae, or smoothie. Vegan smoothies are available.
There’s seating available to enjoy your ice cream.
Parking is complimentary but will get busy on the weekends.

It's still a great farm for berry picking, good ice cream, donkey watching, bring home the berries and playing grounds.
If you love sunflowers, this is the right time (Aug 12, 2024)to do the u-pick sunflowers and u-pick blueberries are still good too. The sunflowers field are just started to bloom.
But I will trying to come back on weekdays, it is really too crowded on weekends.
There are always a long long line up for the ice cream as years ago. It's a problem for seniors.
Now they change their policy for the u-pick is a much better way. The customers no need line up for so long for the weight of the berries under the hot summer days.
The staff are always helpful and nice. You can get the fresh berries in the booth without long line up. I am happy seeing the farm growing big.
Finally, we wait for one cloudy Monday for our first u-pick in the field.
When we get there, no line up for food. We spend about less than a hour for the pick. If you plan to go for u-pick, try your best coming in weekdays and go to far end of the field. The further you go that there are more good blueberries.
After the picking you can enjoy some fresh fruits that you are just picked, coffee and ice-cream etc. There are a water station by the market for cleaning your fruits before you enjoy it.
We live in Vancouver but it is well worth the drive for the trip.
May I have a suggestion again. Would you set up one small hut for the tea, coffee, baked good and scoop of ice-cream. These items will not take long time to make.
Maybe, open one small window on the other side of the house only serve the easy items. It will be a win win situation for all.

Great for blueberry picking! August is out of season for strawberries and raspberries already but there were some in the farm store to be bought and they were yum! Not too busy.
Only downside is an ungodly amount of mosquitoes, highly recommend bug spray before entering the fields

It's the perfect family blueberry picking experience: ample parking, low prices, and all-you-can-eat picking.
Highly recommended
