If you're a woman, and you enjoy verbal abuse and passive aggressive behaviour, this is the place for you! :(Dealt with Kal Tire at the coast for many years (our trucking company), and they were great. But I never will again--not the Grand Forks Kal-Tire, and I tell everyone to stay clear. I don't like swapping tires on and off rims. So I ordered a new set of rims along with a set of winter tires. Everything was ordered by their guy. They called, I went in to have the new tires and rims put on. My truck goes in a bay, shortly after one of the young guys (Steve I believe) comes into the waiting area and proceeds to tell me that the rims don't fit my truck. And, it's obvious he's mad and annoyed as hell, by the condescending tone of his voice and body language. I wasn't pleased at first, but then said with patience, "Okay. What happens now?"BIG MISTAKE--and I repeat this was a BIG mistake. He proceeded to verbally assault me in front of my son and another man like it was my fault the rims didn't fit. Finally, I lost it and snapped, "You're the one who ordered the rims, not me. So who's fault is it, exactly? And who are you to get mad at me for your fecking mistake!" Then my son, who was watching, was preparing to intervene. Steve said he'd have to order another set but there wouldn't be a choice with the colour. And that the cost would be the same. I said, "Okay. Then do it."After this fiasco in the waiting room, I got dirty looks from the other employees, and even the owner came out to snap at me when my truck was ready. This is when I should've demanded a refund and walked out. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were having a bad day.A few weeks later, they put on the correct rims with the new winter tires. I specifically asked them to balance and align. Did they do this? Nope. There was a weird vibration (not a shimmy). I took my truck back and asked them to check. Everything seemed fine for a while, then I noticed the vibration again but only at high speed. I thought, maybe it's just the heavy new tires. We took a number of trips to Kelowna. The vibration gets worse. I take my truck in to our mechanic. He freaked. Everything was out of whack. It cost me $2,400.00 to get my truck fixed. Thanks to improperly installed tires. My brakes were done, calipers etc., I needed new tires AGAIN, and an alignment. And, as I've learned, I'm not the only one who has been treated poorly at this Kal-Tire. Customer be ware. Now I go to OK Tire.
