“I could go off about this place and write a really long-winded, gushing review. So I will. I spend a few weeks in Kaslo every summer with my wife (who grew up there) and kids. And every summer, I have work to do on our place. Some summers the jobs are big (lay a new roof), and sometimes they're smaller (install a new toilet, fix a faucet). Almost every job requires hardware, materials, tools, equipment, advice, delivery, and moral support. Guess where I get it. Right. This store is literally one of my favourites. Anywhere. I find virtually everything I need (so far since 2002 when it was Irly), the staff are awesome, no bullsh*t, people, and the prices are as good as you'll find anywhere. I just bought my first chain saw this summer and got a full run-down on care, maintenance, and safety which saved me a ton of time. I even got a t-shirt. The owner will bend over (backwards) for you, and his son, Joe, is practically my new best friend. Hey, Joe! Year after year, most of the same staff are there which is a sign of a strong shop and an even better community. And they add new products and services that just keep improving the place. You could try to tell me that it's the only outfit of its kind in town, and it might be true, but they sure as hell don't take it for granted. You wouldn't get better service if they had a major competitor across the street. I'm grateful these folks are around. Visit and find out for yourself.”
