Very rude staff. Asked nicely for assistance and was treated very poorly. Staff members reply to my question was “don’t you know the alphabet, it starts with A you know, maybe if you actually took a look you wouldn’t have asked.” Then she proceeded to very loudly say the alphabet. The place was busy, people were standing in front of the section I had previously looked in so I couldn’t see it and just wanted to make sure. Meanwhile another older lady was also being extremely rude and belittling another girl at the checkout. Very disappointing some people are still incapable of showing kindness and understanding. Especially in a job that involves interacting with people and first year university students who are still learning the way of things. Very unacceptable.

The staff welcomed us as we walked in. We came for some clothing and there was a large selection of shirts and sweaters. We left with some new bunnyhugs for fall.

Nice UBC merch, but quite expensive (as you would expect)

Expensive but good quality. Make sure that if you're not buying your textbook from here, that you don't need launchpad (online portion) for the class. Launchpad is included in new textbook purchases, but almost the same price as the textbook on it's own.

I’m not a UBC student but I live locally and needed materials (engineering logbook) for my school work online. The lady working asked for my student number, I told her I didn’t have one and she said “... why are you here then?” and her general attitude toward me made me feel really uncomfortable. Then she made me give her my drivers license number?? Not sure how that’s relevant, it’s actually a privacy concern for me. Where I go to school, people come on campus all the time who don’t go there to buy merch for their kid or whatever and it’s never an issue. I’ve never felt this alienated at a store before. Won’t be going back.

It would be easier to find textbooks if they were arranged by subject/course instead of by author because the printed book lists are often difficult to read and determine who the author is.I've asked the same question to multiple employees and get a different answer every time.It would be nice if it was laid out better so that at the beginning of the semester when there are 100 people waiting to purchase, the lineup doesn't block all the aisles.I definitely recommend going to Okanagan Textbook Exchange first if your books are available there, and also checking the Green Text store.

Way overpriced, go to staples for everything instead. And you can get 99% of your textbooks for free online as pdf's
