Avoid this store! I bought a power bar and, when I got it home, it didn't work. I returned it within the 14 day time limit with the receipt and they wouldn't exchange it or give me a credit or a refund. Apparently I should have known that there is an electrical station where I should have tested the item before purchasing. I didn't see any notices directing me to do this.I will no longer shop at Value Village.

Avoid this thrift store. I bought a power bar which didn't work when I got it home. I attempted to return the item within 14 days and with the receipt but the store would not accept the item for exchange or refund. Apparently you are supposed to find an electric station inside the store and make sure that the item works ... I could not find any notice that directed me to do this.

I love going to this place there's so many decent clothes to look at and every now and again you find a nice pair of $300 jeans with a $25 price tag on them like these beautiful Rock Revival jeans I found the other day. They looked and feel brand new. Plus there's lots of little gadgets dishes and tables I found just about everything in there. And for the most part I can't really complain about the pricing it's been pretty reasonable every time I've been in there. Maybe one thing they could do though is have their floor Walkers be a little less obvious when they're following me around the store all the time because there's no reason to I don't steal anything but they make me feel very uncomfortable following me everywhere I go because they think that I am. It's called being Incognito Security Guys. Other than that everybody's pretty good there.

Today, I asked for a price on a tattered cotton, costume pair of kids cowgirl chaps, $9.99!!! Are you kidding? Outrageous. These are something she will wear once or twice for Halloween. I can buy new pants for that price, ones which she can wear for the entire season. Furthermore, the change rooms were never brought back. Every other clothing store has a change room. Really disappointed.

It's alright for certain things but not everything and a while back ago the prices were good not to costly. But these days who ever became the new owner of this supposed to be Value village store, well they have made the store pretty high priced on most of the merchandise ever since the new owner had taken over. So I call it V.V.BOUTIQUE

I occasionally find a treasure but seriously starting to wonder if it's worth the incredibly high prices and rude staff who are too busy talking to each other to bother with customers. VV already gets all of their products for free, now they have free self check out cashiers. I wonder if most people know that VV are a For Profit company and only donate 17% to charity. If you donate you can get a 20% off coupon.. Better than nothing I guess.

What ever happened to value village being a place to find affordable used things. Now everything is over priced. Dollarama and other dollar store items are marked for twice as much as the original prices. Considering everything is donated for free they should be pricing things more appropriately. It definitely seems like there is 2 different mindsets pricing items. Greed is unattractive to your business. I'll no longer be donating to a greedy corporation.

To be perfectly honest the prices are getting out of hand. For materials they get for free and don't wash, they certainly charge an awful lot!! there should be no chance in hell you should ever pay over $5 for anything in that store. Seems a little greedy to me. When you can go to Walmart and get brand new clothes for the same price what is the point of going to Value Village? And I'm not trying to be rude with this comment or review I'm just trying to be honest. Value Village used to be a great place to buy clothes on a budget, that is no longer the case. Two stars because I don't believe in one star reviews.

Getting worse every time I go. Too many people at the same place, alley too small at some point. Price absolutely catastrophic. A pair of dirty pants, for men, for work, like really dirty, 15$? How tf? We can’t try the clothes so we always end up with stupid stuff that we need to bring back to value. I bought a pair of pants. They look perfect, my size and everything. Get home, 2 hours away, try them on. There’s two side slightly ripped. Something you can just see when you have them on. A good size of ripping, enough to see the bum. Bought those pants also at 15 $. Another pants were mentioned be a size 13, get them, pay and get to my house, try them on, can’t get in at all. Put them around my waist again, does still work, but still can’t fit in.

Rookie VV shopper mistake, I believed the young clerk when he casually said “You can return it if it doesn’t fit”. NO you can’t! You can exchange it for equal value, in other words, a $$$ grab by a for profit store (NOT a charity) No change rooms so dress in tight clothes and try it on in the aisle. Wish I’d read the other reviews before going here. Shop elsewhere people.
