I'm from Calgary, and I don't normally travel to the Sunshine Coast. But when I do, I eat the Butter Chicken Poutine at the Grasshopper Pub. The Grasshopper Pub is truly a magical place. Time doesn't exist here and everything is lovely. I wish I could live down the block. Better yet, I wish I could live in the hotel. Even better, inside the restaurant itself. I know this sounds satire, but I speak truth. If you are ever in the area, make the stop. If you aren't in the area, make the stop. And sit on the patio. But make a reservation, especially in the summer time. And go around sunset. There's no place like home.

Stayed for 4 nights in the 2 bedroom suite. Nicely finished. Friendly staff. Ate at the Grasshopper Pub the 4 nights. Service and food was excellent.

The staff were great. The views were beautiful. The decor was really nice. The room was in really great shape. My problem was the fact that the bed sheets were stained and dirty and the room hadn't been vacuumed, so the staff had to do both with us in the room. Also the pub/restaurant closed at 8pm and the music was turned up, so very hard for sleeping until after 11 pm.

The location is great, the view is worth it if you're on the patio at sunset. The staff was friendly enough, although my food took nearly 50 minutes to arrive since ordering. However, on any other occasion - I do not recommend solely because of the prices. A standard house burger with no bacon and frozen french fries is $22.Chicken wings... $22 for one pound (10-12 pieces). Absolutely wild. I understand grocery prices have gone up, but chicken wings for $22 is fricken insanity.A message to the owner, think about the service you're offering and adjust it accordingly. You get better quality, service and prices at a Joey's or Cactus Club in downtown Vancouver.

Just had lunch with my wife at the Grasshopper Pub. We were lucky enough to be serviced by the Manager. Super nice guy and great service. The patio with view of the water was very nice. The fish and chips for me and salad for my wife were terrific, very fresh with very large portions. I'd highly recommend the Grasshopper Pub, we'll definitely be back!

No warm water for shower on days when the pub isn't open (Monday and Tuesday) unless you run it for a good long while. Since the Pender Harbour is on a stage 3 water restriction (!!!), I ended up just taking a cold shower. I called the front desk and they don't seem to be worried about it.If your room is right above the pub, expect to listen to people on the patio from 12-8 or 12-9, depending on the day.You should also expect to listen to bass from the pub's music thump during those hours and onward until about 11:30pm. I tried calling the front desk, but no one seems to be around at night. The fridge in the room is a good size, no freezer. No A/C, be warned.Views were impeccable though (10/10 on that one).Food & drinks: Aqui es Mexico is 10/10

Stayed at the hotel a few nights. They've done a great job on the renovations. A few things however, this place really needs a breakfast service. You are taking a gamble with food options early in the week, so you better make sure places are open, or then have something simple for in your room. A simple few things in the pub for hotel guests would be awesome - other hotels with pubs do this. This hotel could be a destination, rather than just the last-option. The location is awesome, but could be made to be more hospitable.

Grasshopper Pub is great food and an amazing view. I've never stayed in their rooms. 24 hours after I posted this I searched for their wing night to meet up with a friend and their website and search optimization is dismal. They don't even show a picture of their own view. Menu's colliding, and no updates as to specials etc. They're popular so they probably don't really need extra draw, but it makes them a little less convenient for me.

Ordered take out from the pub and it was a terrible experience. Ice cold food, salad without dressing. Staff was actually quite rude “not my section”. Bad service and bad food. Of all the lovely things we did on the Sunshine Coast, this was the worst.

We stopped at the Grasshopper Pub after boating at Sunshine Resort. The food, service, and restaurant were lovely. I definitely recommend stopping here for a meal if you are in the area.

This is about the Grasshopper Pub. The food was excellent. The Yorkshire meal was incredible, with the best roast carrots we’ve ever had - no joke. It even made us come back the next day for another meal. The house special the one day was a chicken teriyaki burger, which was messy, but great! And those salt & pepper fries - yum!Our service was good, the view is incredible, and we’d definitely recommend it.Food & drinks: Definitely recommend the Grasshopper Pub!
