“I have to say today is the first time I've walked into this 711 and was actually pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service from the young man working behind the counter. He was polite and very thorough as far as the usual upsales go. I normally give this 711 a zero star rating if that is possible because the staff are generally rude or seem as though they're being put out by dealing with customers. And with one or two employees in the recent past I also found that I was getting short changed every time I went in there. And I go in a lot I live a 2 min walk away! It may have been only 5 or 10 cents each time but it was every time and it made me question whether the particular individuals were unable to correctly figure out the change or if it was simply a matter of carelessness or flat out trying to rip me off. Like I said it was minor amounts each time but it is still my money and last time I checked I wasn't obligated to tip the 711 employees especially for being rude!Back to my point A++ to the young man working this morning just b4 11am hopefully 711 hq is made aware that they have 1 employee at this location that deserves their job as a "customer service representative" of 711! Although I imagine that it won't be long b4 a good employee is moved elsewhere as all the past ones seem to have done!August 15th 2022 @6pm roughly....The female employee behind the counter at the current moment is extremely rude. Walks away from the counter after finishing with the customer ahead of me to speak in another language to the coworker that had also walked away while I was standing and waiting. She barely even greets me seemingly to me grabs my scratch ticket that I wanted validated with an impatient attitude as if I was bothering her by being a customer! I am in this store basically every day! She rudely asks me "anything else" doesn't even tell me herself what I already know about the dollar amount of the ticket I had validated. Absolutely no customer service from this young woman at all! And she once told me that she has worked for 711 for a number of years.... how? I cannot understand why the staff at 711 (not all 711s but definately this one) are allowed to be rude impatient and ignorant with the customers whom without they would have no employment. And unfortunately I have not been so fortunate enough as to have the young man with the higher standards of customer service and better manners towards customers since that one morning. Maybe these rude employees should take notes from him if he's still even working at this location!Is it just me or does it feel very rude when two or more employees somewhere that deal with the public start speaking in a different language and ignore the customer infront of them? It reminds me of my kindergarten teacher telling the class that its rude to tell secrets if u cannot say it infront of everyone that you should keep it to yourself until no 1 else is around! Maybe that moral is not taught to children in the early years in other places? I don't know, its just bad manners”

“This is a busy LD as it’s the only one in the area. There’s usually a wait at the pharmacy so be prepared for that, but they are pretty quick and efficient. Same for the photo and electronics department as well, friendly service and great selection of items through the store.”
