Golden Ears Provincial Park, located in Maple Ridge, is a large and beautiful natural area offering a wide variety of outdoor experiences. The park features forested trails, rivers, lakes, and mountains, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy well-maintained trails suitable for all skill levels, from easy walks to more challenging hikes, with stunning views of waterfalls, forests, ridges, and lakes. The park is home to two impressive waterfalls, the Lower and Upper Waterfalls, which are accessible via short or more demanding trails, providing breathtaking scenery for all visitors. The park is also a great place for camping, with spacious and clean sites available at Gold Creek Campground. Winter camping is offered at a fee of $13 per party per night, with only pit toilets available. During winter, the park operates on specific hours, opening the gate from 7 am to 7 pm daily, and visitors are asked to exit by 7 pm. Regular hours will resume in late March 2026. Visitors are advised to obey closure signage due to ongoing storm damage assessments and to avoid streams, stream banks, and steep slopes that may be unstable. Golden Ears is known for its serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxing, taking walks, or enjoying peaceful moments amidst nature. While the park can be crowded at times, it remains a highly recommended destination for those seeking a scenic escape, whether for sightseeing, hiking, or camping. Visitors should be prepared for winter conditions and check local advisories before planning their trip.
One of my favourite Park. This park is huge. They have a lot of entrances. Some on the left some on right. There are forest, river, big lake, small peace lake, mountains… in the park. Make sure come earlier as so many things to do and see. Enjoy the nature in Golden Ears.
