The Hospice Shoppe's volunteer staff are great, and always a pleasure to chat with in passing. And their big store on Bowen behind the Country Grocer has very good setups.Watch for discount days! When I lived nearby, I tried to drop in at least once a week for their excellent deals, and I tried to give back by donating.

The place was decent enough, but the staff was unfriendly. They took my money fast enough though, almost grabbed it out of my hand.

Nice and friendly thrift store. The sorters are happy. I was looking for a small shovel and someone went to see if they had one. They did, but it was duct taped to what looked like a a plunger stick. It was a fantastic deal, originally priced at $2, but i could have it for $1 lol.We all had a chuckle, me, my dad, the door person and the sorter salesman. It was a nice moment on a dreary day. This place has furniture, cds, artworks, jewelry, clothing, books, tools (even those without duct tape) most tools in good serviceable condition and you can find antique tools that are so cool. Tools that are well used but still work because they are quality. There are also small appliances, and glassware.Important to note, 30% off on Thursdays. Today when we went (Friday) it was 50% off small appliances. The cons, clothes are dated.Worth checking out. Thrift stores are all about the thrill of the chase.
