If you have the patience this store can be helpful for getting a little bit of money for your trade ins & buy clothing/toys for your littles at a fraction of the price.
If you are planning on selling any items to them, expect them to take all day going through it even if you entered a time you would be back in there app. I wondered if this was a tactic to get people to not come back, force them into taking a store credit & losing their items OUAC wouldn't take.
You will need to deal with not so friendly staff (not all, but there is quite a few), they will NOT have any sort of sunny disposition.
Most likely you will leave feeling annoyed but feel it is a necessary evil if you are wanting to consign.

Beware of discounts given at the till - they don’t tell you upfront but it means they won’t accept returns.

Went to purchase some clothes with my store credit and was told it expired after 2 years! Was very disappointed as I was not told it would expire when I gave them things to sell, and if I had been told that I would have sold it myself! After this experience I would not use this company again

Dropped off 4 items at 2:17pm, at the time had I chosen to wait in store it would have been a 50-60 minute wait. I chose the text option. I went back in at 4pm to check and was told by a very rude employee that there was many ahead of me so it would be awhile. 7:30pm tonight, still no text so I phone and am told my offer is ready, I asked why no text and am told ‘oh it’s not working’. So I drive to store and inquire again why no text and am told it’s not working. I said you could have phoned and she says oh yes I guess we could have. The minute I walk out of the store I get the text that my offer is ready!! This store needs to remember that without people like me selling items to them they wouldn’t have a business so they might want to rethink their customer service!! The reviews I’ve read are not favourable and I’m beginning to think Victoria might be a better option as well!

We always enjoy our visits to this store! There’s an incredible selection for our little ones, and it’s our go-to before hitting retail shops. I love that I can also bring in the things my kids have outgrown and get some money back.

They’ve always had unbelievably narrow aisles, and a reliably stale/off-putting smell inside the store, but this last time there was an anxiety-provoking, hoarder level of stuff in the store. Toppling, disorganized piles of musty clothes and toys… How is this up to fire code? Apathetic staff/managers seem to be a norm, but our last experience really took the cake. A manager blantantly ignored her sales associate who was kindly asking for a required authorization to complete a transaction, when there was a line all the way to the back wall of the store. The mgr looked the SA in the face, sneered, and took off the other way. Like what?? I hope the girl at the till’s quit by now. No employee should have to work under a person who behaves that way. What is that mgr like when there aren’t customers there to see her?
If you still decide to shop here, be warned that there a lot of run down clothes in the mix - you have to look carefully to make sure you’re not buying a flawed item. It’s difficult to believe that this is part of the OUAC franchise when you’ve seen literally any of their other locations in BC. This branch takes advantage of being all we have for Center island

So I came in 7 days ago, bought 2 pairs of baby shoes, kept tags on, still zapped strapped together, perfect condition, couldn't fit on the baby and went to return them. I accidently kept the reciept from the week before, but was able to show my visa statement that I did make the purchase within 7 days, well that wasn't enough, they wouldn't even let me exchange them, and I have now wasted approx $28 on shoes that won't fit. To add insult to injury, they said they could buy them back... for probably a couple dollars or bring them in within 1 day with the receipt, which I now can't find. My bad for loosing the reciept, but very disappointing that they wouldn't even exchange them for something else. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Great concept, but their standards seem to vary between customers; my friends and I have had clothes turned away for minor rips and barely noticeable stains - which is totally fair! - But other times, I have found clothes on the racks with tags that have clear rips/stains, I have even brought some back to my house and found them later.
The employee area behind the counter looks like complete chaos, which would be fine if it worked, but my order got mixed with someone else's, and in the end they had never looked through my things 5 hours later.
The staff are also flustered and seem to either have a lack or restrictions on their training, as they have to call another staff member from the other side of the chaos to wade through to help any time they need to do more than ring something through. Again, this would be fine if it was efficient, but it's not.
I've done the customer service bit, I get that off/busy days happen - especially in the summer - but this appears to be an ongoing problem.
Sorry Naniamo location, i wish we could have made it work. Off to the Victoria location I go!

I wanted to like this store as I like to reduce waste, but I won’t be back.
The store is packed to the brim making it so hard to shop and even walk. There is always only one till open which leaves long lines. Cashiers are really slow to process customers.
There are no change rooms which makes decision making nearly impossible, unless you want to wait for the bathroom….which is always full.
If you do go, watch for holes, etc as I have had a few of those too.
Too bad, as shopping secondhand is good for the pocketbook and the environment.

I used to love this location, coming back the staff has been completely unprofessional and seems to be employed by people who have no place working in customer service. I tried to buy a stroller and had to approach multiple people before someone finally and reluctantly Helped me. I wasn't Helped to check out, several people were behind the til, unwilling to help and just bickering about who was going on break next. I will not be coming back again

Absolute nightmare selling stuff here. They tell you two hours, you come back in 4 and it is STILL not done! I understand it can be busy, but that is not acceptable. And in a scenario like this, to be told that you MUST STILL come back later in that day to pick up what they do not want to take. Hardly worth all groceries thawing out in the car.
Having a game plan for the times when your store isn't able to follow through on their own set times would be useful. E-transfer and pick up next day could be useful in circumstances like this, or the options of donating the unwanted items to Salvation Army instead of expecting people to spend time and money on gas again.

Usually great deals on kids' clothes. My little one grows so fast, there's no point in buying new and this shop is super convenient. The staff, most of the time, are beyond miserable. A couple of the ladies are super pleasant but most of the staff seem to be held there against their will lol. It is super off-putting.

Learn how to speak to people in a professional manor. Your entitlement is ridiculous you run a second hand clothing store. Get real.
