First time stepping into this branch since I started banking with Scotiabank. The branch interior is sad, unprofessional, too bad they don’t upkeep their space. Also it was evident one of the bank tellers was just speaking with their friend for 10 minutes while I waited in line on my lunch break. Poor customer service in my opinion.

Incredibly irritating that they have parking in the back with the entrance permanently closed and no way to get around to the front. They claim it’s for security reasons (understandable given the social issues of the neighborhood) , but the SECURITY GUARD walked over and told me through the window that no, he couldn’t let me in and lock the door after me. Some common sense would be nice.

Slowest tellers ever. Only go there if you have at least half an hour to spare. There is always a long line up.

Terrible bank. Having the ATM closed almost all the time is ridiculous. As other people have mentioned, other banks have their ATM's open after hours, so why can't you guys? Also, bank hours are super limited, and often times if the doors aren't locked the ATM machine is broken. Scotiabank needs to step up their game.

Agreed..No atm use after 5pm how am I supposed to get my money? Hhhmm spend money on gas or extra atm charges!!! Really scotia I get it there are problems with people downtown but cibc at Port place stays open...they have security to watch over the place... why can't you?

I am sick of having to drive across town to access my money after 5pm or using other atm and getting charged by them and Scotiabank...so gas cost or bank charges... I think I should get free atm from. Scotiabank or open one of the atm doors..downtown

Continually changing hours. Open one weekend, closed the next.Call centre isn't any better. Answer the security questions you set all correctly, they still can't verify my identity and tell me to visit a branch. I work Monday to Friday. This branch specifically is closed weekends. Others are not. The others are not my "home branch", which is the only branch you can do anything important at. I have used Scotia for almost 25 years and I'm going to take all my savings out, and go elsewhere

Employees are so rude. Instead of listening and answer the questions, the teller is angry when I have some questions , he didn’t do the job right either because he was busy with upsetting when I question him (After all, he paid my visa instead of line of credit, and tried to arguing with me instead of correcting it!, I have to asked to play the security cameras to prove my point and the manager has to stepped out to help after all) Overall, very bad service skills!Stay away from them!

I'm sure this happens with other banks as well. When withdrawing funds I consistently get asked "what's the money for?". To which my standard reply is "that's really none of your business. I verified my identity, the money belongs to me, you don't need to know anything more."I've had multiple run-ins with tellers and managers over this and end up leaving the branch feeling anxious and angry. The only thing keeping me from changing banks is the headache around changing deposits, pre-authorizations, payments, etc.

I'm a new SB customer. Signed up online, it put this locale my home branch. Went in for the first time at about 2pm, didn't get inside until about 230, commercial st is the worst for parking. I circled a cpl tines before remembering they have an entrance off of Terminal Ave, with a few more parking stalls. There are signs out back saying parking for scotia bank.... but you can't get into the bank from that side, just the ATM. I had to circle back around and go up and down the street a cpl times before a spot became empty. (I have mobility issues and can't park far and just walk over, I'll be in pain for the next few days).I guess they were training, there were 3 tellers helping 1 customer, leaving only 1 other teller. With 1 person ahead of me and 7 ppl behind me, just didn't seem very efficient.Glad I don't have to go into the actual bank that often, this place is just brutal!Why not open the back doors again? Customer said they locked them when covid hit, were healing and want to get back to normal, open the back door again.The teller who helped me was nice and handled all my issues very quickly.

People are great here! Always super helpful! My email gets returned next business day. They have helped my kids get their accounts going. Love this bank!

Okay so here's the deal. The staff themselves? Totally fine. The hours for this branch SUUUCCKKKK so badly. Closed at lunch, when most people actually have time to go to the bank AND on THURSDAY on top of weekends and closing early?! WHY IN THE NINE HELLS ARE YOU CLOSED ON THURSDAY>:(
