I arrived on time to pickup my rental and was told that there was no trailer because the last person did not return it. I brought up that it was a guaranteed rental and he said that they can’t control if a customer returned on time. Not much of a guaranteed rental. So I had to drive an hour away to a location that had a trailer and after I was done I had to drive an hour to drop off the trailer cause they wouldn’t let me take it to the store close to me. When I complained about this I was told that uhaul has the monopoly on rentals and there’s no one else I can deal with. Very poor customer service. Would recommend trying any other service before using uhaul.

I had the most professional and friendly service at this location, 1865 Boxwood Road in Nanaimo BC. I used UHaul many years ago when I lived in Vancouver and service was ok, nothing special. But at this location I was greeted by Sylvia who was at the front counter, and her service was excellent. She is an employee you better hold on to because it’s that kind of service that will keep people coming back and recommending UHaul to family and friends. You have yourself a very satisfied customer thanks to her.

This was a seamless experience. The owner is pleasant, professional, yet easy going. Made the whole experience very comfortable.I'd absolutely rent here again, and will spread the word!

I came in to book a U-Haul less than a week in advance. The size I wanted was not available, but Frank quickly tracked one down and got the reservation confirmed the same day. You can tell he's a busy man, but he took time to make the experience as smooth as possible.

My husband called to book a uhaul on a tuesday and not even a minute later something came up that we had to cancel the booking. When calling back right away the guy was all upset saying that it changes everything and basically made us feel like such an inconvenience. He told us to call him back the next day (wednesday) to confirm for a different date, but we never did because we decided to go to a different uhaul. Wednesday afternoon we all test positive for covid. Fast forward to the day we originally booked, friday (but never confirmed) he calls and abruptly asks why we're not there to pick up.. my husband tells him we have covid and he says "ya ok" in a sarcastic voice and says bye.Not the greatest customer service or pleasant to deal with. The uhaul on boxwood was much friendlier.

Answered the phone with "hello"Then argued about whether I had a reservation or not.I said the fellow selling the dining set has a reference number not sure what that meant.He said "ohhhhh, is the dining set nice?"Thats when I gave up.I said i didn't want to chat about the dining set.He said "ok bye then"Go to Budget, they're cheaper and less passive aggressive. Omg.

I booked a truck online and did an express check in to expedite the pickup. Running a bit late I started receiving text messages from an unknown number saying to hurry up as they close in 2 hours and further rude messages about my partner. I replied back and my partner was at the store a few minutes later and was treated very unprofessionally and the employee was extremely rude. If you don’t like your job then quit and find another. I have a disability and my partner helps me. There was zero understanding. It was a fiasco and the customer service was terrible. I have always used Uhaul and had great experiences with amazing staff. This Uhaul store is a complete embarrassment to Uhaul and this needs to be rectified. Upon reading other reviews customers have had the same experience. It’s shameful.
