We arrive back to one of our favourite wine tasting locations in Naramata bench..a definite warm welcoming with a very scenic view and atmosphere..the lake views are particularly lovely..our guided tasting experience certainly expanded our knowledge as each wine was discussed with an ease and clarity to bolster our understanding and knowledge..

Without sharing the details, there was a problem with an online order and, even though this issue was not caused by Joie, they more than stepped up to the plate to correct the problem. What amazing service by people who obviously love their trade but also genuinely care about their customers. Can't wait to go back and thank them face to face ...

Always my favourite wine and winery in Naramata! Cute little place that has an amazing Noble Blend ?

Consistently my absolute favourite winery on the Bench. The wines are delicious, service is great and I love their food experiences. The fish & sips this summer is such a delicious alternative to the typical Bench eats. The rose slushy is the best slushy I’ve ever had. And I adore the picnic lawn, it’s a must to enjoy with a cold bottle of delicious perfectly chilled wine. I’ll be back again and again and again.

This was one of the prettiest spots on our wine tour. Great inside and outside with lovely areas to sit outside. The host for our tasting was lovely but we did not get a lot of information about how the wines were made. This was the only winery on our tour that did not waive the tasting fee when you bought wine. The wine slushies are amazing!

Not only are the wines enjoyable (the Tiny Bubbles in cans were a surprise favourite), the scenery is also amazing. We did a tasting on the patio and appreciated the friendly service and staff. To top it off the visit to Joie, the rose slushie was so good we made a follow up trip to the Cidery.

Just went for the Pig Roast Picnic for lunch and it did not disappoint! Shady tables in the shady Pear Trees and attentive, fun, knowledgeable staff! We played with a sweet, friendly dog, Patsy who charmed everyone and kept the one table with children entertained. The beautifully roasted pork and all the fixings got 5 ⭐️‘s, piled onto a IG worthy platter, prepared by the top chef who was at Poplar Grove, Vanilla pod, and The Naramata Inn ? We were offered a wine tasting to choose our bottle of wine for the picnic - all rolled into the experience. Was a perfect Naramata winery experience!

Third time back to Joie Farm. Love the wine! We have previously really enjoyed the laid back, chill atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Today’s visit left us cold. We felt like we were an inconvenience to the rep that guided us through the tasting. We picked up a flat of tiny bubbles that we’d pre-bought online and purchased several bottles. The rep assumed we were wine club members but when she realized we were not made us feel like we should be grateful that she did not charge us $15 each to taste maybe 3 wines. The whole experience left a bad taste and we longed for years past. I guess covid has changed this industry too; it’s not about broadening appreciation of craft wine, it’s about making a buck. Won’t be back. Such a shame.

Our favourite winery on the bench. We’ve been a member of their wine club for years and come back every time we’re in the area. Must try!

This was the first time I got to visit the Joie winery. I’ve been to Naramata multiple times in the past and Richard was by far the most knowledgeable wine persons I’ve ever met at a tasting. He was also entertaining and very informative. I hope more people get to experience his wine tastings as he does not often do them.

Can’t say enough about the helpful service and knowledge.Canned wine is surprisingly lovely, although I know that can sound off putting. It was very tasty and convenient.Back garden area was well set up, stunning beautiful, and well shaded if you need it!The $25 tasting fee is extremely steep and the only way you’d see that money again is if you join the wine club, they’ll put those fees against your membership.

Excellent tasting with Jess. Her knowledge of both the wines and history of the area created one of the most enjoyable tastings we've experienced. If only there'd been more Gewurztraminer bottles left!PS. Go on a Sunday as tasting fee is waived with purchase of a bottle or 3 cans plus you get a tasty fresh flatbread & dips to enjoy in their beautiful garden.

Beautiful atmosphere and food, disappointing tasting experience.Enough with the cans. There must be a surplus of cans because tasting every wine but one from a can really cheapened the experience. We are already wine club members at Joie and brought two friends new to the area looking to discover amazing wines. Our tasting experience last year was truly a wonderful experience and we just had to sign up for the wine club (the sauvignon blanc, exclusive to wine club members, sealed the deal). On the way home, both my husband and I said that if we had the tasting we just experienced last year we never would have signed up. Another disappointing part about today was that despite it being Sunday, we still had to pay for our friends tasting even though we bought a bottle of wine to enjoy with lunch. We were under the assumption when you buy a bottle of wine on Sunday the tasting is comped. We even offered to pay the non member price. Not the case. Overall, I wouldn’t bring friends to Joie again and after touring other wineries with our friends where they are members, I can tell you it was a much more pleasant experience. Plus, as their guests we never had to pay for a tasting.

Mixed feelings about this place.Wines & quality - 5/5Ambiance - 5/5Food - 5/5Service - 1/5Value for money - 2/5The wine is pretty spectacular, not going to lie. The pizza & picnic area was stunning & picturesque! They also have canned wine for your convenience without compromising quality. But the endless, rambly & pushy spiel about becoming a wine club member was a little much. They also have outrageous tasting fees that aren't waved with a purchase of wine. Additionally, only some wines are available unless you fork over the cash to be a wine club member. I get it's The Bench & inflation is real, but my most recent experience has been tainted based on their business model. :/
