“Traveling thru Nelson on the way to a Van Isl family reunion we had a gas line seepage.I jury rigged with duct tape .Problem. Stations booked for weeks. When i called Midas Samantha said bring it in. We did. Then the magic happened. We were on standby. Brenda had the head tech assess and ordered parts. Squeezed us in the next day. And as so often happens there were some extra probs which Chris , the head mechanic , solved while we watched the Arg /Eng fifa match. We were on our way by 4 and made Greenwood. Can’t say enough about the staff at Midas. Thanks a bunch to Brenda , Sam , Chris and the rest of the guys.

Now in Victoria ive had a chance to get under the vehicle and see the job done. To say the least “Im MAD” The filter is behind the filter mount which bolts to the frame, just suspended by the fuel line. Done by one of the junior mechanics. But what really pisses me off is Chris the head mechanic finished the job. He was looking right at it.So instead of correcting the mistake and setting an example of the quality work of the shop he lowered the van and sent me on my way. Fix was cutting 2 new piecies of fuel line 6” so the filter set firm in its mount. About 15 min more work which i would be happy to pay for. If he was my mechanic i would have fired him on the spot. No wonder im seeing other bad reviews . He sets a bad example to the juniors. I will have to redo the job . Certainly not at midas Nelson. 1st time shame on them ,second time shame on me. You know at McDonalds i check in the bag to see if my orders complete. Min wage.But at a shop rate of 150 per hr i expect more.At least a minimum quality of work. I would take them to small claims court to get my money back and the cost of the fix and my time.Im sure i would get a settlement before judgement just by looking at the before and after videos.

What more could you ask for ? This mechanic shop is competent, wanting to please customers and is willing to put in the efforts to do so.

“Very impressed with the staff at No Limit Tire in Nelson

After being evacuated from Summerland, I was travelling on my own in an unfamiliar town and became concerned that the tires on my motorhome might not be safe. I honestly thought I was going to have to replace all four rear tires.

I called No Limit Tire and spoke with Mark.at Rather than trying to sell me tires over the phone, he suggested I bring the motorhome in so they could actually have a look at them. I arrived a few hours later and they were expecting me.

John came outside, carefully checked all of the tires, filled them with air, replaced a few valve stems and reassured me that the tires were actually in pretty good condition. I really appreciated their honesty. They could easily have told me I needed four new tires, and I would likely have believed them.

Mark also took the time to talk with me about a problem I was having with my generator. He gave me some very helpful advice about something I could check and possibly fix myself, which may save me the time and expense of taking it in for repairs.

Being evacuated from home and dealing with vehicle issues while travelling alone was stressful, and the kindness, honesty and helpfulness I received from Mark, John and No Limit Tire meant a lot to me.

Excellent customer service and genuinely honest people. I would highly recommend No Limit Tire in Nelson.”
