“Huge thanks to Doug and the team at Downtown Auto. After a few poor experiences with other mechanics in town, it was a massive relief to deal with a crew that was honest, professional, and took the time to do the job properly. Communication was clear, the work was solid, and I never felt like I was being upsold or brushed off. Highly recommend Doug and the team to anyone looking for a mechanic they can actually trust.”

“It's a rare occurrence for me to experience a complete mechanical breakdown as I'm generally on top of regular maintenance, but recently I found myself in my Ram 2500 truck jack-knifed on a busy street and blocking traffic when a failed alternator resulted in complete loss of battery power. Midas came to the rescue and although they estimated it would be a full week before they could even look at my vehicle, it was repaired and ready in less that 24 hours. HUGE Thank You and shout out to Chris who was empathetic to my situation and provided professional and courteous communication, and to the entire Midas team that supported him. Well done and highly recommended.”

“We were in Nelson recently for a wedding, and then taking a few extra days for a family vacation on our way back to Saskatchewan. Walking back to my truck on Friday afternoon I noticed that I had a rear axle seal leaking. I made several phone calls to local repair shops and was told by each one that they couldn't look at it for 3-4 weeks. That's not exactly the answer you want when you are only in town for the weekend. The next shop on my list was Kootenay Motors. Adrian answered the phone and I explained the problem and what I had been told by six other shops. He said his appointment book was also booked for 3-4 weeks but understood that we were from out of town and couldn't wait for 4 weeks. He took the info he needed on my truck and asked if he could put me on hold for a couple minutes. When he came back on the line, he said that if I could have the truck to him for 8am Monday morning they would have me on the road again by noontime. Adrian was on holidays starting that Monday so unfortunately I wasn't able to meet him, but Ray was just as professional as Adrian was and by 11am the truck was fixed, we had shook hands and I was driving away to enjoy the last few days of our vacation. Kootenay Motors and their crew treated us well, and in my opinion they have the right attitude for a service oriented business. Whether you are a local in the Nelson area or from out of town I would highly recommend giving Kootenay Motors a call!!”

“Very impressed with the staff at No Limit Tire in Nelson After being evacuated from Summerland, I was travelling on my own in an unfamiliar town and became concerned that the tires on my motorhome might not be safe. I honestly thought I was going to have to replace all four rear tires. I called No Limit Tire and spoke with Mark.at Rather than trying to sell me tires over the phone, he suggested I bring the motorhome in so they could actually have a look at them. I arrived a few hours later and they were expecting me. John came outside, carefully checked all of the tires, filled them with air, replaced a few valve stems and reassured me that the tires were actually in pretty good condition. I really appreciated their honesty. They could easily have told me I needed four new tires, and I would likely have believed them. Mark also took the time to talk with me about a problem I was having with my generator. He gave me some very helpful advice about something I could check and possibly fix myself, which may save me the time and expense of taking it in for repairs. Being evacuated from home and dealing with vehicle issues while travelling alone was stressful, and the kindness, honesty and helpfulness I received from Mark, John and No Limit Tire meant a lot to me. Excellent customer service and genuinely honest people. I would highly recommend No Limit Tire in Nelson.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by the quick, professional service I received. They had my truck for two days only and the work was well done! I had looked at the reviews before I took it there, and was a bit hesitant due to some bad ones, but honestly they did amazing work, and very timely too, I would have no problem recommending them!”

“The Garage team is so incredible. They worked after hours to work on my vehicle because I had to drive to university the next day. They were so accommodating and determined and I am so grateful they did that for me. It was incredibly intensive labor, I needed a new clutch on my 2002 Audi TT Quattro and now she shifts so smooth, she’s a beaut! Thank you Garage team and huge shout out to Craig for the extra time and hard work put into my car!”
