I had an extremely disappointing experience at Tagam Gas Station. I went there to fill up my gas and was offered an oil and windshield check. The attendant informed me that my oil level was low, so I agreed to have it filled. Unfortunately, they overfilled my engine oil, leaving my car in a state where it should not start.
The staff later assured me it was safe to drive, but the oil level was still high. I had to drive back to Nelson to a garage to have the excess oil drained, which turned out to be about a liter – the amount I had paid for. This clearly shows their lack of proper procedure and understanding.
The attendant who handled my car didn't know how to check the oil properly and could not even distinguish between different types of oil. This level of incompetence is unacceptable for a service station.
When I sought a refund and shared my concerns, the response I received was dismissive. The staff member merely pointed out that I was getting my money back, ignoring the fact that their irresponsibility and lack of expertise could have caused serious damage to my vehicle.
This experience was not about the money, but about the potential harm and inconvenience caused by untrained and unprofessional staff. I strongly advise others to avoid this gas station for anything beyond basic fueling. They need to seriously improve their staff training and customer service.

Friendly staff, full service gas and grocery with a good selection. Also propane fill, not many places left to fill propane.

As always, Taghum Shell is very friendly, fast and attentive full service gas station. A true one stop shop with reasonably priced fuel and local delicacies like Kelly's Doukhobor borscht.

Came here on a very busy Friday afternoon, but I have never seen such a well run gas station. It was beautiful actually, the attendants directing traffic and making sure to save our spot when we needed to turn around.

I would just like to say"WELL DONE,"to the staff at the Shell station. I purchased gas there a week ago and just realized today that I had forgot my gas cap. I called and sure enough it was there. With a description of my vehicle as well. To the mostly young staff working that day. You are truly professional in my books. Thanks so much.

Actually, it’s my first time that writing a review for a gas station. The service that they provide is a full service. Also, the store is very clean and they have lots of good stuff. On top, the staff are very friendly and polite. Try this gas station on your way to Nelson! ?
