We love this place! Non pretentious. Almost every time we go here we find some kind of treasure. Whether it's a velvet cushion cover for $2 or a French boudoir light with milk glass & crystal droppings for $20. Musty and cheap and cheerful people Good cause for mental health charity non-profit and allvolunteerrun volunteer run

Got accused of stealing by the woman who works here. Very small thrift store barely any selection.

Next time you have gently used clothing, housewares, books and pictures; consider the Treasure Chest, as all proceeds go towards the support of mental health programs and services in the City of New Westminster. Our friendly and helpful Volunteers will assist you in unloading your donations or sell you unique items for amazing prices!

Incredible place to buy and support Mental Health! This is the Thrift Store from the Canadian Mental Health Association, specifically from the Vancouver Fraser Branch.

Im honestly wonder if everyone is as rude and mean as the women who answered my phone call (i wish I knew her name) I called to ask if i can come by and drop off some donations and she said she was closed, I asked if i could leave it somewhere else and her answer was: “if you want to make some mess, sure” seriously no wonder why people complain about their customer service… really sucks when you just want to help others in need of stuff you dont longer used, but staff being so rude kinda disappoint to even think of giving it away to them

Discusting customer service 2 visits in a row now. Me and partner went there last weekend and got an item of clothing which was outside on the $1 rail, when we go to pay the younger cashier charges us more saying that we are wrong and that item wasn't meant to be out there! How cheap lol literally a 3 dollar difference and you should be checking your stock anyway. Always such bad attitudes in there you should be ashamed of yourselves

I will provide a somewhat biased review because I had the privilege of taking a course at CMHA (funded by the government during the pandemic) and benefitted greatly. So I try to stop by every now and then.Firstly, it's great that they open 7 days a week! I find most thrift stores close on Sundays (and Mondays when I can make it!) Those are the days when I can shop so hours are a definite plus. I write a lot of cards for the Angel card project & Random Acts of Cardness so it can get very costly with stamps. I'm always thrilled when I stumble upon nice cards here. They're very reasonably priced and I can write heartfelt cards without breaking the bank.Thank you for allowing me to uplift and help others through purchases at your store ☺️

Have found a few great items here. I donate household items here frequently and they are always willing to accept donations and often express their thanks, not that it is needed. I disagree with Diane's review that they have a "greedy mentality" for wanting to try selling things online to raise more money. It's a charity, for goodness sake!! I say power to them for wanting to maximize their impact. I feel great knowing that my donations are going towards a very worthy cause.

I really like the new look at the treasure chest in New West. The thing I enjoy most about the thrift store is that the prices are awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am a very happy customer and will be back soon. I always find something special at the treasure chest.

I used to love going here - but there seems to be new management. The selection has gotten much worse recently. And everytime I consider buying something I look at the price and change my mind. When I was in there I heard them talking about selling items online so they could get more money for it. For a store fully running on donations I don't appreciate that greedy mentality. It's quite a small store but everytime there's this one lady who always seems to be getting in the way.. not hospitable at all. They should definitely change there name because the concept of finding treasure is just not there.

I have been here a couple of times and found 1 or 2 good items but nothing very special. The thrift store is pretty small and packed. Not very organized. Most of the cloths look very outdated. The staff there are not friendly at all. They only talk to you if you buy something and you say "Thank you" first. Not even a smile.
