I feel very grateful for this Petsmart location for the way they take care of their little critters. I have visited most Petsmarts in the lower mainland and I often saw little hamsters and mice running on wheels that are not only dirty but also way too small for them (it would hurt their spines). And they often lived in smelly cages (pee soaked bedding) and having only pellets (no nutrients) for food. But this Petsmart in North Vancouver provide their rodents with proper size(bigger) and clean wheels to run on, their beddings are clean, and they even give them a variety of fresh vegetables for snacks alongside pellets! I saw happy and healthy mice exercising on the wheels and comfortably cuddling with each other today. They were so comfortable with humans(thanks to the kind people who take good care of them) they would come out and curiously sniff us. I’m so happy for the animals to be taken such good care of. Thank you guys so much NV Petsmart! ♥️??♥️♥️

Hi, I had my dog in for a grooming today and I am really really really happy with the results. I got an early morning appointment at 8:15 AM so she was the first one in the door. I asked for an especially thorough de-shedding, and I can’t be happier with the results.I even took her into the park just to do a quick brushing after and I barely can get anything off of her. Will definitely use Petsmart grooming from now on.

Great selection and friendly staff. I am happiest when o don’t see pets up for adoption there … but If it is a good spot where they can be shown and adopted to good homes… that can’t be bad.

We just bought a Top Fin Dazzle 3 gallon tank for our betta, it was supposed to include a 12v power adapter and a filter, but they were not in the box.

I just got home from trying to purchase a Clown Pleco.. An algae eater... The ignorant employee refused to sell me one unless I bought a piece of driftwood... But I could have a Rubberlip!... I don't want a Rubber Lip... With a quick google I find that Clown Plecos are quite happy feeding on Algae wafers.. This has never happened before. I will be back and I will speak with a manager about this particular employee. I have been coming here since they opened and have never come across such an entitled know it all employee... That refused to sell me an algae eater because I only was planning on feeding it algae... ?

Absolutely unacceptable, inhumane, and abusive treatment of their animals for sale.Absolutely heartbreaking to see animals that were barely moving, many of which appeared very sick.I hope they take appropriate steps to educate their staff how to properly house and maintain the animals they sell.Not to mention that they have a very low quality selection of pet items in general, with extremely high prices. I was in a pinch to buy some items for my pet, but could not bring myself to spend a dime here in good conscience.

This is the location from which we adopted our beloved cat: Manitoba. The staff were very helpful throughout the adoption process, and the manager (I believe his name was Alex?) went above and beyond. He helped us fill out the paperwork, which because of his help did not feel like a hassle, and he stayed in constant contact throughout the approval and "take home" process. He also waited for us to drive back with our lease agreement documents very close to closing time on a Sunday, and for that we are very grateful. They were working with Action for Animals at the time, and their whole adoption process was very straightforward. Although the profile posted for the public did not go into depth regarding the cats' personalities, they did have folders full of information, advice and recommendations for each of the kitties.Aside from this, we found the store to be clean and organized, but there were dogs inside barking which made the kittens quite jumpy and scared at times. Also, the cat enclosure did not have a climbing or scratching tower (which most PetSmarts do), so we believe that would be a great addition for the kitties enrichment.

Normally I don't write reviews for basic retail locations, but last week I felt the employees really went above and beyond to help me get a dog tag ring onto a collar. The woman at the cashier spent her spare moments, between helping customers at the till, with focused determination to get the dog tag on the collar for me. It probably took 15 minutes total but she got it on there when I'm pretty sure there's no chance I ever could have.Whenever I go into this location, the staff are cheerful and very helpful.

I wanted to buy a gold fish and when I went in they said we know it’s the Persian new year and you just want to buy a fish for your new year and so we will not sell it to you. I was completely shocked. I just wanted a fish for my moms aquarium and I explained that it is a gift for my mom but they did not believe me. When I pushed they ended up saying all our fish are sick and we can’t sell it to you. I think this is discrimination and I was shocked. I will never return to this place. Very disappointed.

This is our dog’s and our favourite pets place!!!!We have always been helped by someone from the staff answering our questions or recommending products. Today our dog received a grooming service by Rachel and she made her feel pretty comfortable specially because it was her first time and she is a bit anxious.Derrick from training listened to all our questions and even helped us choose a crate and a harness before starting training.We and our dog always feel welcome ? ❤️

Please check the receipt to make sure the price and discount were right before leaving the store. I am an frequent customer. I have been shopping at this store for quite a long time. Last week, I found out a problem at the Main Street store in North Vancouver. I bought over 20 feeding fishes with my wife and they were on sale. When I paid, a young cashier seems didn't know what kind of fish I bought. So I told him they were Rosy Red Minnow which was $0.40 each. I also showed him their discount label on my phone. The discount label said buy 5 save 25% on all fish. The cashier ignored what the label said. He charged me $0.45 per fish instead of $0.40 per fish. Then gave me 15% discount but not 25% discount. Both the charges and discount were not right. My wife told the cashier about the problem and he told us the price he input was correct. He didn't want to look at my wife and he looked unhappy on what we said from his behavior. Not sure if we are not caucasian. I told my wife to solve the problem later with the Manager. I found the manager and told her about the issue. She made the correction on the charges and gave me the refund. But I forgot to tell her this was not the first time I was charged for the wrong price. I will keep an eye on the receipts as I don't want to overpay if I shouldn't be. Nobody want to lose money on the high value items. Good Luck!

Very bad grooming for our cat , not even cut and missed important places, they cut back of her head to much and they changed $100 for this ugly job ,Very very poor service.We never go back to this Place anymore.
