Horrible Service. Mahsid Khavandgar and Preethi Noronha were absolutely useless and an absolute waste of my time to deal with. I ended going to TD and getting first class service.

Horrible branch… stood there for over 15 minutes in a line that did not move as there was only two tellers and the managers didn’t bother helping out despite seeing the line. Furthermore they didn’t even bother to look up and address the people waiting to tell them sorry for the wait or we will be right with you.. and this is a training branch!

Never have I ever been so disappointed in a financial institution... I am shocked at how inept their financial adviser, Nazreen Ishak, is. Do not use her services... After speaking with Nazreen about my financial planning and how I am trying to purchase a house, she helped me move over my RRSP's from Canada Life to RBC. We spoke at length about my aspirations to purchase something soon and how my partner and I had finally saved up enough and were excited about this next step. During this conversation I had also explained how I needed the 35k from my RRSP's, which is allowed to be removed from your rrsp's when purchasing a house, to help with the down-payment.Nazreen at no point advised me that by moving my RRSP's from one financial institution to another would mean they would be locked for a period of 90 days.My partner and I obtained a rate hold through our mortgage broker which only lasts 120 days, in this time we need to close on a house. This rate hold was put in place before the last two raises in interest rates, so although high it is still reasonable.Anyways, after my discussion today with Nazreen I was informed that, "oh, unfortunately you will not be able to use the 35k from your RRSP, because once it moves from another institution it is locked for 90 days"... as you can understand this negatively impacts my ability to use my rate hold and will mean higher interest rates for our first mortgage term. To make matters worse she suggest I should use my credit line instead, which will ofcourse incur interest costs, until it is paid back. To lock someone's money and then suggest to borrow just to pay interest back to the bank is criminal.I am shocked at the poor customer service. To not mention something like this, something that is material to a huge financial step in my life, something that will affect 3-5 years of my financial health; is absolutely insane to me. Nazreen Ishak should not be a financial adviser, she should not be allowed to practice and play with peoples money with complete disregard for the outcomes. A true financial adviser would have advised against this.*Update* The community manager reached out to me and has clarified the RRSP restrictions/rules. As it turns out the financial adviser was wrong. RRSP's are not locked for 90 days after transferring from another institution. In fact they are locked for 90 days after original contribution. So, in my situation I'm fine, but I'm going to leave the original post because it shows that this individual clearly needs to understand her information better and I would not put any trust in her due to this mishap.

RBC is lucky to have Maya, Han, and Charul, true professionals! A special thanks to Monika for taking the time to resolve an issue with Visa that took multiple days to sort.

Was in the branch today go have a draft that I brought in to be deposited into an RBC account for a property purchase. I dealt with someone called Philaina (sp). She was abrupt, in a hurry and rude and it felt like she was going out of her way to assist with my needs and that I was an imposition.. This isn't the first time I have heard of this kind of customer at y our branch.

Closed on Saturdays? Not convenient for a local loyal customer for over 20 years.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Lost $300 of my money and it has been three weeks and this issue is still not resolved. We were told the online banking was having issues properly reflecting the correct balance and the cash deposit we made was in fact in the account even though it was not reflected online. They assured us the money was in there. However, all our bills bounced back due to NSF funds because they had lost our money. Also, the teller was supposed to put overdraft protection on my and my partners account and they didn't. If they had, our bills would never have bounced back. They also didn't return the $90 NSF fees in our account for their errors. My partner had to go in to the branch 3 TIMES to get these fees paid back to us in cash because apparently their online banking can't be updated/fixed on their end. We are now going in a FOURTH time to try and get our $300 back and resolve the issue once and for all. The degree of unprofessionalism and lack of urgency this bank is taking to resolve all of their mistakes is honestly shocking. I have never been so dissatisfied with a banks incompetency. Once I receive all the money back that RBC owes me I will be taking my business elsewhere.
