This store is great but I and many of my friends refuse to shop here now due to many bad experiences by an unprofessional and rude supervisor (Justin). In one instance he made fun of my friend for his choice of beer at the checkout. Another friend's 25 year old daughter was refused service by the same supervisor despite having 2 pieces of valid ID simply because he didn't believe her. Additionally; I have seen him treat the staff with disrespect by the way he talks to them. This person does not seem well suited to customer service as he seems to always be spoiling for a fight. There used to be many very skilled and helpful staff at this store but it seems he has driven many of them away. Sad that one employee can do so much damage to a good stores reputation.

The other reviewers are correct, don't give this store your business. Awful service, the BC Liquor less than 5 minutes away is a far better choice. We won't be back.

Absolutely dreadful experience at this store yesterday evening April 12th 2023 approx 6.10pm. As a visitor from another country, this is extremely disappointing customer service. Quizzing my 21 (almost 22) year old daughter about her age even though she was not purchasing alcohol? Asking her to produce ID because she TOUCHED a miniature bottle of alcohol? She produced her PASSPORT so that I her responsible parent could purchase the bottle of wine, but then they proceeded to not serve my 19 year old son also with PASSPORT ID as he tried to purchase a packet of chips. (You can’t get more official than passport, after all we are permitted to enter your country with passport and the strict rules and procedures that accompany that, but I …a responsible adult can’t buy a bottle of wine or packet of chips with passport ID?? ) But then proceeded to ask them both for second ID stating ‘its the law’. As we tried to reason with the cashier that we are sorry and were unaware that my daughter could not even TOUCH a bottle of alcohol (despite being of legal age!!!!), because we are visitors to Canada, there was not a nice response…. But instead to raise their voice to us with I can’t serve you and ‘well go somewhere else’. Ok I understand laws are strict…BUT we are visitors to your country, so PLEASE improve on your manner of explaining to YOUR customers…especially visitors to your country. Don’t raise your voice, embarrass them in front of other customers and say to them ‘well go somewhere else’. To you, the person with the beard who would not serve us, yes you know who you are, please go back to customer service school, take an online course…do whatever it takes, and learn how to speak to and treat your customers with respect…. And especially visitors from another country. Please don’t reply to my review here with ‘it’s the law’ (personally I feel your store is taking it a step too far compared to previous experiences, but that’s a story for another day)..I understand it’s the law. My point here is customer service!! Respect!! And not being made feel discriminated against…because we are from another country. Never before have I met with such arrogance in any store I have visited in any part of the world. The other negative reviews you are being given are here for a reason…so please take note!! People don’t have time to be wasting giving bad reviews…so maybe it’s time to go back to the drawing board and review your policy regarding Customer Service and how you address your customers. An extremely upsetting experience as we near the end of our holiday to your beautiful country…well done Spirits of Mt Seymour, you just ruined it :(

A little bit pricier than a BC liquor store but in acceptable range.The problem is the tipping option during checkout, I know I can skip it but it’s still a hassle. Since when customers are expected to pay tips in a store?

Right pricing and a huge selection. The staff is amazing. They really should put a tip option on the POS.....and I never carry cash. They have helped me so many times finding what I want and they are all polite.

Good local liqour store... good variety, a little pricey on occasion but overall a good spot.... this was my review and 4 stars 2 years ago.Today the staff made my wife and son very uncomfortable and belittled them whilst shopping for some birthday beers for me.l spoke to the same supervisor later in a very reasonable manner and saw he quickly became defensive and rather than apologize tried to justify his behavior and actually questioned why my son was even picking out beers for his Dad......erm birthday...and he was picking them based on if the can looked cool!.... long story short...lost a 8yr customer... well playedReplying.... it was nothing to do with your rules, but the behavior that was intimidating and rude from your staff, seems like a common theme looking into this

Always the worst staff used a dam passport for id apparently wasn’t enough, wouldn’t accept it as id and only asked me out of my group of 3. All of us being the same legal age. Staff need help
