Same experience as so many others, rude treatment by an older woman staff member. This hurts all local business as customers will turn to Amazon and realize what a much better shopping experience we find there. The store owners clearly don't care as I haven't seen them respond to these complaints about rude service. I wish I could leave no stars.

As seen in other comments, we want to support this store. But people working here, esp by the till are so rude. And if you don’t do returns, JUST PUT THE SIGN ON YOUR DOORSTEP. They act as if the reimbursement is coming out of their pockets. Never ever!

I haven't been to the store for about 6 months. I went in today and was surprised by the incredibly rude elderly female staff I talked to. I asked her a very simple question kindly, about where to find a certain item, and she responded curtly and abruptly to me... she wouldn't even look at my eyes while she was talking to me. Her tone of voice and the way she phrased it made me feel like she was angry at me for just asking a simple question. I felt hurt and confused.
I wanted to support the store instead of buying on Amazon... I ended up leaving the store after that interaction and just bought the item on Amazon as I originally intended.
Unfortunately I will never be returning again to the store, despite living only 2 minutes away. Life is too short to deal with rude nasty employees... I will always remember the horrible way she made me feel when I was there every time I pass by now.

So this petite home hardware store with limited selection, surrounded by giants (canadian tire , home building center) i really wanted to support them, but wow the elderly staff, now I dont have a problem with elderly people working but it's seem like some of them can be very rude, and also they have no clue in simple modern day technology. making customer shopping experience or diy project more stressful then it have to be.
I'm so glad I went to canadian tire, cause it was night and day the customer experience I had with the younger generation. Maybe I'll try this store again in 5 years when there are new staff.

I have been there many time and there selection of items is outstanding however some of the staff can be very rude. Today I was in there with a friend and at the till I was lightheartedly joking to my friend about who should pay and the older lady at the till out of no where threatened to punch me and not in a joking manor. We were both taken back and left wondering what her problem was. My friend later speculated that perhaps given her age she resented having to work and that maybe is why she was so bad. Albertsons on the other end of town may not have as big of selection but the staff are awesome.

Went in to buy a camping stove.
Leo followed me around the store after asking twice if I needed help, I was in the store for 2 minutes, he took my item to the cashier to hold it there while I shop, then asked me to leave and said no looky Loo's, he was very rude, I felt discriminated against, I will never return to that level of unprofessionalism.
Go anywhere else if you want to be treated with decency.
