The mechanic Lars is lazy. He may do good work for easy jobs like breaks and oil changes, but I do not recommend going for anything else. For my experience he was flakey. I had 4 appointments that he missed over the period of 6 weeks! He never once called to reschedule me. I had to chase him. I'm probably half to blame for this because I let the guy take advantage of my time for far too long in hopes he would come through. I stand by what I said, if its just breaks, tiers or oil.. Anything challenging? Don't bother. The staff of the gas station I feel baby him. They take all his calls because he shares the phone number. Anyway, good luck Lars and staff.

I went to the car wash today. My car was dusty from the road. It did not clean it so the guy said go through it again which I did both times did not even clean the dust off my back window. They blamed my roof racks for it, not cleaning it. What the hell is that? After going through the car wash twice, I still showed the guy that it was not clean and asked for my money back. I was refused my money back.

Decent place to be when you need a quick stop.
Snacks, Sandwiches, Milk, Coffee- the works.
Its got a bakery spitting distance away too, so that's pretty nice, get a coffee and a loaf on the go.
Free Air, & Helpful Staff from what I've seen,
One of the bigger guys even stopped me before i pumped gas once so they could LOWER the price before i pumped! That was pretty amazing!.

I was there at approximately 6:30 PM on April 12th, 2024. I had finished pumping gas after paying at the pump, and was about to leave when I was approached by the gas station clerk. He pointed out that I had looked at my cellphone while pumping gas, and said there was a sticker on the pump that says not to. I hadn't noticed the sticker before, and explained that to him and that I was sorry. He continued to lecture me ongoingly as though he didn't believe me, and acted as though he wasn't trusting me at my word. I'll not return to this location, and am considering not returning to any Shell location in the future. The employee was a caucasion, heavy-set male with a short facial hair beard, and looked to be mid-to-late 40s in age.

Just watched an employee get mad at someone on their cell phone in a parked vehicle. 1 in 10 billion chance a cell phone will cause an issue at your pumps. Please update your store police....

I have been going here for years..love Lars and am always more than satisfied with his work and cost. Think he needs is vey busy and does everything himself including bookings may need a bit of help.

Prices higher than at other stations in Parksville, even at the other Shell station. For example, yesterday and today, Nov 18 and 19, 2023, the gas everywhere else in Parksville was $158.9 or $159.9 per litre. At this station, it was $168.9 per litre.

Terrible attitude from the mechanic, tried to give them business 4 times, received with a bad attitude rude so I took my car to the Petrocan down the road (Wayne fixed it right up quick). Sent a friend to the shell last week as a second option now he's mad at me because he had the same experience extremely rudely about being there five minutes before eight and interrupting him before open. I am posting us for both of us just because if I were the owner of this location, I would definitely want to know.
