The old woman at the till was not only absolutely unpleasant to deal with, but also unhelpful. Went in there with my family and she was rude to every single one of us. She let my husband purchase without requesting ID, then did not allow for myself to purchase because I did not have valid ID on me (which is fair and why I left the facilities as I am well aware of the law), however, she proceeded to not let my mother make the purchase afterwards because I did not present my ID.
It is valid enough to refuse to me and I understand that, however, my mother? Absolutely ridiculous.
Then she proceeded to ask my sister to present not 1, not 2 but 3 pieces of ID in order for her to make her purchase.
Honestly, better off not giving her my money.

Great litte store good selection but the older lady working afternoons is not very friendly. Noticed unless your a local to town then she is more engaging. Have encountered this the last few times I have come in. Her attitude has changed the few times I have left a tip then she engages and tells you to have a nice day but nothing when walk in or thru whole transaction

I visited the store on June 30th around 6pm with my two children - aged 11 & 14. My children were within an arms reach of me as I looked at their refrigerated wine. Shortly after my arrival, one of the two female store employees approach me and told me that my children were not allowed in the store. She stated that is kind of ‘an awkward situation when children are looking at liquor products’ and they could get in a lot of trouble if someone came in to check if they were following regulations. She made it seem like my kids were checking out the beer section while I was in a different section.I was very surprised as she asked my children to wait in the vehicle. As my handed over my car keys, I should have left the store with my children. As I browsed around, numerous other children entered the store with their parents. These children were younger for sure and ran around the store while their parent looked at the selections.I approach the employee again asking for clarification as clearly there were other children in the store. I was then told it’s ‘mostly just teenagers’ and ‘once a child is old enough to wait in the vehicle they should not be coming in’.I significantly regret the decision to give this place any of my money. The mistake will not be made again. Since then I have verified with the BC regulations that children under 19 ARE allowed in liquor stores with the accompaniment of their parent. I have never felt so discriminated against. I strongly encourage visitors to go to the Sunnyside market on Beach Ave in Peachland to get their liquor.
