The best bike park ever! Incredible place! There's a reason it's the best bike park in the world. And Whistler is a beautiful place for those who don't downhill but like to bike through its forests and trails.

I have been excited to visit Whistler bike park for years, and I was highly disappointed with my recent trip (9/13-9/16). In a nutshell, the most disappointing factors:1- Whistler Village Gondola closure with no prior notice (and subsequent Fitzsimmons zone trail closures), and no resort-provided shuttle service to Creekside to mitigate the inconvenience.2- Unbearable braking bumps making riding painful and not funI have been planning this vacation for over a year, and booked lodging in Whistler Village close to the base of the gondola for easy and quick access. I was aware that the Fitzsimmons lift was closed for the season, but expected the Whistler Village Gondola to still provide adequate access to the Fitz zone from Whistler Village, and was still excited to ride some of the classic Fitzsimmons zone trails that I've dreamed about for years. The gondola closure was a complete surprise upon arrival to Whistler after months of planning and expectations, and the recommendation to pedal 4.8 km to Creekside without any resort-provided alternative (shuttle service) is absurd. Whistler states that the gondola closure was posted on the “hours of operation” page since the beginning of the summer; I feel that this is not adequate notice for a trip planned months ago and should have been posted on multiple places more clearly (why would I check the hours of operation page after I’ve already booked the trip?).Furthermore, the trail conditions are terrible. I am aware that braking bumps occur with high-volume trail use, but never expected it to be this bad. Riding a majority of the trails was not enjoyable, and by the third day of riding I could hardly hang on to my handlebars. I ride regularly and do forearm strengthening exercises specifically for bike park riding, which helps tremendously at most downhill bike parks I go to; not here. I do not intend to return to Whistler unless there is a significant effort to smooth out the flow trails and berms with trail maintenance.

I never write google reviews, but my intro to park bike class with Snowy was my favorite thing I did in Whistler. He did such a great job of taking me from someone who can just ride a regular bike around town to feeling comfortable enjoying the green lines (and even some blue parts) which was my whole goal. I'm 100% coming back next year for more riding and another class just because of how well this one went.

My first time at Whistler bikepark having traveled there all the way from Germany. Did not disappoint! Friendly staff, reasonable wait times at Whistler Village gondola (30min during busiest times, often not more than 10min), but most importantly top class trails!

I had a lesson from a French bike instructor named Tancrede. It was the best lesson I've ever had and I improved my bike skills so much thanks to him! I felt very safe with my instructor and had the best day riding. I'll definitely be returning!

We had an incredible family experience at the bike park! We took lessons from Evan Douglas and he was patient and made sure we felt comfortable with each skill he taught us. I would highly recommend him as an instructor!I recommend lessons as we properly learned how to load a gondola with 4 bikes and how to do different kinds of trails! It was definitely a busy time of year as it was the day before the Red Bull Joyride and my kids loved that! There were long line ups for the gondola but that was to be expected because there were so many people in the town because of all the Crankworks events. I want to take my family back next year because the experience was so incredible!
