Every time I have to go to this bank I feel sick to my stomach. I’ve been a Scotiabank customer my whole life, and while the thought of completely getting rid of my account makes me sad, I just don’t want to deal with the people who work at this branch. The assistant manager is rude, aggressive, and had a cigarette stench on her that nearly made me choke. The staff have no idea what they’re doing, they don’t know that it is their responsibility to program PIN’s on new credit cards, and it seems like they find any way possible to not help you and tell you to phone telescotia. Worst bank ever.

I just walked across town in -21 degrees only to have the bank closed "Because their heat wasn't working." They didn't bother to update their website. Thanks a lot.

Worst branch ever... imagine the assistant manager raised her voice today at acustomer who very quietly made a comment about the chronic long waits at this branch. It made me extremely uncomfortable . Then it turned into a loud out burst from another person in line up. TELL ME is the customer important to this branch? I would never choose Scotia Bank .. Penticton Scotia Bank shame on you...

A spider web of prerecorded messages that drove me crazy. I wanted to speak to a LIVE local, got to leave a message but so far no response. They seem able to leave me marketing messages, sort of a one way street.

This is the worst branch I have ever dealt with. Went in to make a deposit and pay a bunch of bills on a Friday @4 and got greeted by this person and they ask how they could help. Told them I wanted to make a deposit. They promptly told me that they don't accept deposits after 3pm.What kind of bank does not want your money. They recommend I use the machineWhy the heck is the bank open to 5 if they want use the machine.I have had nothing but horrible service from this bank. Since I moved here 2 years ago.

Have had horrible experience there with a few of the women being incredibly rude, when coming in to get cash or sign papers. One woman was quite nice but the other two Ive dealt with (including one who I think was the manager) was quite negative, will be switching banks for sure.

Have worked for Scotia and dealt with them for 40 + years. The branch in Pen leaves a lot to be desired. Wanted to collapse a GIC for hardship. Arranged this through my financial advisor, got a reply within about a week that it was approved and would be in my account by the end of the week. Waited an additional week since Easter break was in there, but nothing. Sent my FA an email letting him know I had no fund but did not hear back from him. Called call centre and was told that they could not help me as this was processed at the branch level. My FA had been ill over the past year and I thought perhaps he was out off the office. Left 2 messages on the voice mail of the manager, but there was no response. My next step was to file a complaint with hthe complaints dept of scotia bank. I then got a response fr my FA. The transaction was processed within 2 days snd my FA emailed me that he would be Remo ving his name fr my profile .

Extremely unorganized when it comes to mortgages and auto withdrawls. Ported my mortgage over to a new property and they have been nothing but a headache with no understanding on what just happened. Even though they are the ones that did it all. Been having to talk to different people over the phone every day explaining the same thing. If you can avoid this bank do so.

I booked a phone appointment online to discuss important financial matters with an advisor but they never got back to me. The customer service centre confirmed the booking was received but they could not reach the advisor. I was told to call the branch but I just got a recorded message saying "customer service rep is not available" and then it hung up. Hellooo? Anybody home?

Went in today, which I normally try to avoid becuase there is no parking and had the best surprise to be assisted by Denise. She went out of her way to make sure I was able to complete a withdrawal. I use Tangerine, and this is the only branch in Penticton I can get cash from for larger purchases. She showed me which machine had larger bills and was so cheerful and engaged....and she had a genuine smile. She is the best in there!!

There is a reason this branch has a 2.3 star rating. VERY poor customer service. I am a Scotiabank customer and have been for 10+years. I came in to get $10 in laundry change from a $20 and was in a rush and when she asked me to insert my card I noted I didn't have it on me. She notedScotiabank does not ever serve customers that do not bank with Scotia.I dug through my wallet and found my card, inserted it and put my pin. In a very low polite voice noted that this was the first Scotia branch I've ever been to that told me I could not get change and that in 99% of other branch interactions they get ID and get you to sign the sundry receipt for small amounts. As soon as my pin is accepted by the pin pad she IMMEDIATELY storms off to the assistant manager and in a very loud voice asks her manager to go help me because she doesn't want to deal with me. There was next to no words exchanged between myself and the rep ... I only politely outlined that this was the first branch I'd ever been to that responded that way to which she reinforced that all Scotia branches do not assist any non-scotia customers.I understand that during covid, businesses wish to limit interactions but the combative demeanour and aggression of not only the customer service rep at the client advocate desk but also the assistant manager once she came out was appalling. I request to speak with the branch manager because the AM was raising her voice at me reiterating what the rep had said and had no interest in inquiring if maybe her rep was in error. The branch manager came out and was polite but only came out only to defend them and noted, I was under the impression you were being very disrespectful.... He noted that due to COVID they have had to deal to a lot and so his staff was under stress from past interactions. Bearing in mind my card and pin were inserted as soon as she told me she could not serve me without one.As customers, our lives have also severely been impacted by COVID as well and so that is not an excuse to within seconds raise your voice at customers and treat your customers poorly.
