Came in looking for specific Birkenstocks. When I walked in, 3 people (including employee) were standing around all talking about someone's funeral. Nobody acknowledged me coming into the store, continued chatting. Felt really uncomfortable.... Will find another place for my purchase.

So I purchased these Runners from Payton and Buckle in Pitt Meadows and after wearing them for 2 hours the right side insole started to Bunch under my toe and eventually lifted. My mom took some contact glue and tried to glue it down. I am not from the Lower Mainland so I gave the store a call to tell them what happened. They told me that because my mom glued the shoe, it voided my warranty but if something happened with the left shoe then to bring the shoes in. Upon return home a few days later I wore the shoes again. As bad luck would have it, the left insole lifted as well. I put them back in the box with the receipt and was returning to the Lower Mainland in a few days. When I return to the store, the manager tried to help me. She had to call the store owner to decide on the options I had regarding the shoes. I had two options. Option 1 was they would give me $15 to go to my hometown Shoemaker and have the Shoemaker glue down the insoles. Option 2 was to leave the shoes with P&B and they would have their shoe maker repair the shoes. I purchased these shoes to wear for the spring. I feel like I would be without my shoes with both options. I did not know when I would be back to the Lower Mainland to pick up the shoes and the owner refused to ship them, saying that shipping was too expensive these days. I also feel like if I had to take the shoes to my local Shoemaker I don't know how long it would have been before I would have had my shoes back. I mentioned to the manager that neither option was convenient for me and that I would like a full refund on the shoes. The manager of the shoe store told me that it wasn't an option. She did tell me that I could call the owner at home if I wanted to discuss that with him.I left with the 15$. I feel that this is very poor customer service. The shoes were $145 with tax and I feel that the quality for the shoes was not there, neither was the customer service. I will not be buying my summer sandals at Payton and Buckle or any shoe for that matter, nor will I refer any friends or family. I will continue to shop at John Fluevogs, who has excellent customer service and top notch quality.See picture of my 145$ shoes from Payton and Buckle. This happens every time I wear them..fyi the brand of shoe is Reiker

I love their selection, especially after Ronson's went out of business last year, they became one of the few local shops that carries a great selection of comfortable shoes. What they lack, was customer service. They would get you your size to try on, however, if you end up not buying anything (in my case I mentioned I was disappointed as I was hoping the shoes would be more supportive), the lady gave me a look and said well this selection is just like this. This wasn't the first time I felt like I wasn't welcome after trying something on and decided not to get the shoes.

Top notch customer service, bought a pair of bluntsones(first pair) and after putting them on for the second time noticed a round discoloration could not be sure if it was there when purchased but no questions asked they replaced even after I wore them. Thank you to the owner and girls that helped me through this process, You have gained a repeat customer.
