My family just moved near a quality foods, we learned they have breakfasts. So one day we go and try the breakfast. I ordered pancakes and eggs, eggs were stone cold as well as the hashbrowns. My wife ordered sausges and sunny side eggs. Here’s why the two stars, the sunny side eggs were way over cooked, bottom was burnt. Element is way to high, your just over cooking eggs. Selling stone cold food. Oh and don’t like being followed around the store like I’m gonna steal.

Cheap, cheap, cheap server at the Chinese food court. I use to go quite often to take the supreme package. Last time I paid the most and received one third of the amount of food I use to. Shame!! Not going anymore.

Why do you charge full price for baking items that are quite old ?
Some items were 4 days old ?
Peppers in a bag, most have a rotten one inside?
Yet again …. Full price
Ridiculous in my humble opinion.
Cashier nice. Otherwise it would have been one star.

Quality Foods is one of my favorite grocery shopping spots. While I'm a little disappointed they've discontinued some item's since being bought by the Jimmy Pattinson group of companies, they still have a great customer service team and a lot of good deal's.
A favorite customer perk for me; they have a scanner near the checkout where you can scan your points card, then scan any item, and very often get a discount on up to four of a said item's. Not every item scanned get's a discount, but in my experience, I get the discount roughly 9 out of 10 tries.
I'd love to see the Pattinson group adopt this perk to it's other fine retailers.

I just got a 4 item combo chinese food and I’ve never been chipped out so hard in my entire life. This is crazy usually they fill it up. Some Caucasian lady was working there and I barely have enough food to fill me up for $18. Are you kidding me?

I used to shop here all the time but now under new ownership the store went downhill. My concerns, 1. rude young staff especially the one with long red hair. 2. They allow this creepy guy to hang out in their parking lot and harrass mostly pensioners for money to buy his cigarettes and booze. He is perfectly able bodied as I've seen him walk all the way up steep Argyle Street daily to go sit there and beg people for $$ all day. That annoys me that Quality Food allows this. I really wish people wouldn't give that creep any money. Bye Bye Quality Foods!!

Good service and friendly staff but the selection and deals were better before the Jimmy Pattison group bough it.

It's fine, it's what you expect for a QF. Good fresh deli and breakfast food. A bit expensive but makes sense as it's owned by same chain as save on now.

I was accosted by 4 Quality Foods employees
On Friday the 15th of March 2024 around 15:40 I walked into Quality Foods with a green Save On Foods bag, a much better grocery store, filled with my jacket, hat, shirt and a 1 litre water that I bought at the much better grocery store, Save On Foods. Famished from a 4 hour hike of the beautiful Alberni Inlet Trail I was in the market for something cheap and healthy. I walked to the deli area, didn't find anything, then walked to the dairy section for some hard boiled eggs but did not find any. Disappointed but not hopeless knowing the much better Save On Foods was just down the street I left the store.
I was taking a brief moment to select a daily events podcast to listen to when I was accosted by 4 Quality Foods employees demanding a receipt. I asked for what? They had no answer. Let's all pause to reflect how moronic that is......
This gang seemed to be lead by a deeply middle aged woman, to her right a teenage boy, to her left an overweight and overaged man who breathed heavy standing still. To my right was an additional teenage boy, what am I being flanked? This ain't FortNite kiddo.
The deeply middle aged woman then said my bag had been empty when I came in. Lie. But not only a lie. A baseless rational completely outside the law.
For the ignorant and under trained. To have cause to accost and detain a person suspected of shoplifting you have to have eyes on from the moment of concealment to not paying to leaving the store. None of this was met.
So what happened? After a few choice words for the west side story extras I emptied my bag. Revealing a jacket, shirt, hat and 1 litre water bottle bought at the much better Save On Foods.
What could have happened? Not to brag about a life mispent and full of sin. But I've fought in 2 wars, been shot and blown up. I've barroom brawled from Edmonton to Bangkok. You don't get a mug like mine from crocheting, you get it by challenging 3 guys with an affinity for jewelry to a back ally fight for the fun of it. So if they tried to steal my property for a search, bad things... or if they tried to stop me from leaving as was my right? Bad things... but I was nice and saved Quality Foods from no doubt multiple liability claims. Your welcome. 1 star.
