I just wish the volunteers handing out food would be more inviting and giving with a smile on their face. Instead I get hostile overbearing pushy volunteers, for example: stand here stand there don't push people around for God's sake! Put a smile on that darn face or don't be there! Are you there to help? Are you helping? Do I want to be a volunteer? I'm I a wonderful volunteer? Ask these question before volunteering!

A new bright and clean used store in Powell River next to the very well run Hospital Auxiliary Store. The items for sale are priced higher than they should be. Discounts are small. I found many items (stained, zippers not working, very worn out, etc). Buyer beware! I pointed out a stain on some shorts and asked for a discount, and was told that they were, "Old Navy" in a tone that implied they were Chanel, Prada or some other actual designer brand. Then told that she wasn't "going to force me to buy them". Quite entertaining! Anyhow, worth a stop but I would recommend the Hospital Auxiliary Store next door as much, much better!
