It would be really nice if there was a rule on how many people to a piece of equipment. The gym is always overcrowded with teens. Yes it is nice that they have a space to work out but having 4-5 teenage boys all standing around a machine you want to use while taking pictures and flexing for over 20 minutes is a bit ridiculous. I am always having to modify my planned workout because of equipment availability and overcrowding.

Great selection for work out stations, Would like more workout sessions “boxing, yoga etc” to be offered after 16:30.

I love this place. Staff are great Inclusive people clean environment, ample space in training areas, great equipment for cardio, weights, H.I.I.T, many class options, massage, physio, gymnasium, if you enjoy exercise or training or playing this is the place to be, they also have a kid friendly spaces as well. A must see the Prince George YMCA!

I’ve been to many different YMCA locations in 3 provinces, and this location has a steam room that isn’t very clean. Definitely bring your flip flops. The showers come out scorching hot.The steam room looks and smells like it’s rarely cleaned and or sanitized. No pool on site, which from my experience, is only the 2nd one I’ve ever seen without.Aside from that, it has everything one could expect from a YMCA.

It's a great place to workout, but with the lack of staff lately there are a lot of groups of people taking over equipment, and others slamming the weights together. More staff, and staff that will tell people to be gentle with the weights would make it a more enjoyable experience again.

There are lots of programs for family and diabetic support. Registration fees are based on a sliding scale of income. They are very flexible and welcoming.

I have only gone to this location 2 times. Once about 4 years ago and again in 2023. Both times the receptionist has been rude, 2 different people. From the first interaction I didn't want to go back. The only reason I went back was for a birthday party. This receptionist was also incredible rude. They came across as though they didn't care, rude tone of voice as though how dare I interrupt them so they couldn't be on their phone, was the feeling I got from this personPoor signage, zero staff to help find the birthday room that is tucked at the very back behind a free weights area. The only reason I was able to find it is because a gentleman who was a member gave me directions ( that I could actually hear, as I had asked the receptionist but they mumbled the entire time). The person at the front desk was also eating and talking with their mouth full when my partner had gone in to get our kid. Not saying they shouldn't eat, but sad that they ha were eating while working vs not on break, or not given the option to have someone else watch the front desk so they could eat. Either way, I was not impressed yet again. Looking forward to never going back.

They have a constant problem with lice. Their workers lie, and if you call them out on their lies you will get in trouble. Avoid their after school program at all cost ,unless you want lice every week. They hired multiple workers who got fired right away for inappropriately acting around the kids, and multiple times a month yo will get a phone call asking "if your kid really needs to be in daycare today because we are short handed." Very unprofessional, and you will need to bring your ID every day because they like to hire stoners who don't remember you as well.

This gym has gone so downhill, It’s turned into a playground for 16 year old boys with perms and white wife beaters to wrestle on the floor of the main weight rooms. The staff including management does the bare minimum, I’ve been told for over a year that they would be opening back to their normal hours of 5am with "staffing issues" being the problem yet they have more staff walking around doing nothing than they ever have before. This gym has turned into a zoo with management doing nothing but doing laps with a smile on their face, Very sad to see.

The Prince George YMCA is a complete Joke! Every staff member is extremely rude an know nothing about there jobs! They have taken money repeatedly out of my account after they told me I no longer have a membership there!? Not to mention the manger is a complete Karen like I mean she's jerk!! Yelling right in customers faces making them feel like there nothing. She was also rude to my 10 year old son who was trying to better himself now he don't want to return because of her.

Very very disappointed! I did all application forms on August 2 for my son ( the program: after school care ). Still nothing. I called a lot of time and texted messages on email manager about next step . Nothing after 4 weeks. The lady ( Tasha Mitchell) said me that they have available spot for Malaspina location.

Staff are rude and they have terrible child facility services.I booked Rec.room for my child but they found out there is no my child's name on the list. They treated me like its my fault.the staff must forgot booking mine but why its my fault? Its very ridiculous and they might don't know how to deal with clients.
