Michell's Farm Market is a sixth-generation, family-owned business operating for over 100 years on the Saanich Peninsula. The farm grows berries, apples, over 50 varieties of vegetables, and raises ethical beef. The market is open year-round and offers a wide variety of fresh, big, healthy, and delicious local produce. Customers find a good selection of items, including meat from local farms in freezers, milk, a great selection of breads and baked goods, and local wine, beer, and cider. The store is well-organized. Many describe it as the best farm on the island, with friendly farmers. Visitors enjoy the pumpkin patch with lots of perfect pumpkins sold by size. The experience is a feast for the senses and often feels affordable, with customers getting a huge bag of items for a good price. There is a great coffee shop and food stop behind the store with outdoor seating, serving great fries and burgers from a small burger stand. The service is really good and friendly. For some, it becomes a staple weekly visit worth the drive, making for an unforgettable day.
