“I recently moved from Victoria to Edmonton with Sweenie (shared load). It was a bit of an unusual situation since I couldn’t be there in person to receive the delivery due to last-minute schedule changes. Throughout the process, the Sweenie team was kind and responsive, even when challenges came up (the truck broke down and needed repairs (which they did very quickly, less than a day), and my bookshelf couldn’t fit down the stairs at the new place so it was left outside).

I gave 4/5 stars because I wished there had been a little more communication about delivery times and updates, as I had to coordinate a friend to meet the movers in Edmonton. I also would have preferred if the movers had dismantled the bookshelf to bring it inside, though I’m not sure if that’s standard practice. On the positive side, they did call to let me know about the bookshelf issue, and when I phoned the office for updates, they quickly got the driver to contact me.

When I finally arrived in Edmonton (~15 days after delivery), everything was there and in good condition. Overall, I’d recommend Sweenie for moving—just try to be there yourself to receive the load if possible!”
