This location is kept relatively clean and sorted. Their pricing is usually better than other big chains here, so despite not being Canadian, it has become the go-to for consumers who can't keep up with inflation.I also loved how they were open past all the other stores... until now. They've shortened their hours, so they're no different from other stores in town. That extra hour was integral for some peoples' schedules. The pharmacy closes at 6 now due to "staffing shortages," but you'll only find that out if you go in person. Not everyone in town is a 9-5er. I'd rather support local or stores closer to home if they have similar hours. Even one of the pricy drug stores is open later now. I get money speaks so this group must not be worth catering to, and that's all I could think shopping here after 8 post-2020 anyway, as they either lack cashiers or are too cheap to keep more than a skeleton crew going after a certain time, meaning one poor employee is tasked with checking everyone out instead of letting people use the self checkout, despite staff members hanging around that area. This could be due to petty theft, which would be one thing, if if it didn't speak so poorly of management. Walmart should have no problem receiving applicants and yet they can't keep steady staff (changes often), refuse to have a fair amount on shift after a certain time (leading to burnout and poor service), and makes the checkout process long and annoying for all parties. Maybe they save a couple dollars shutting down the self checkout and forcing a single cashier to do it all, who knows. You'd think the cost-cutting measure of closing earlier would allow them to keep SOME self checkout booths open until closing, but I have doubts this will happen. Retailers realized what they could get away with during the pandemic and have continued to penny-pinch.Their inventory is shoddy in the evening, like after 5:30. I've checked online before and while in store, and several things were oos on the floor while saying in stock. It's worsened the past few months. Sometimes it's visibly there, but unavailable to purchase due to lack of stockists. Ultimately, no issues with the pricing or employees (they're doing their best in proportion to pay), just management as an observer. Shame it now closes early, too.

This is for the tall lanky MF'r who runs the Phone Department in Electronics... my partner and I were in there a few weeks ago and my partner was graciously waiting for assistance to buy a phone, he is already with Koodo. He says he'll be right with him, and we paitently wait..... for him to help someone else (a female) that came AFTER us.... to set her up with a whole plan and everything. My partner explained he just wanted to buy a new phone. Guy says well need to do A - Z to do so, partner says no... I already have a plan I just need a new phone. Doesn't matter. Guy proceeds to ignore us for 45mins - 1hr.... I said screw this we will get something somewhere else. Will absolutely NEVER go back to electronics department ever again at this Walmart. Oh I also forgot the part where another associate TRIED to help us unlock the case so he could at least see the phone and purchase it... but this guy had the keys to open it. After 15 minutes of 3 of his colleagues looking for this key... he finally proceeds to say "Oh I have those keys" and does NOTHING ELSE but ignore us more. I was so bloody irritated I couldn't believe this guy. Like I said.... never EVER again. Buddy.... learn some customer service because you suck at it!

If ... as usual, you are only going to have 1 maybe 2 cashiers working why not open all self checkout lanes at least. Frustrating when only 8 of 15-20 are open . You seem to be able to have staff to harass people about credit cards but not enough to staff run tills. Then when a product scans incorrectly which happens incredibly often bring it to the attention of staff and she goes to price check and come back with a picture of a different product and says till I'd correct.meanwhile I show her product is different model and not same as shown in her photo get an ooh well either u buy it or u don't sir. Amazing customer service skills she has.this particular walmart has been the worst experience for years. Extremely dissatisfied

It is a standard Walmart. Cleanliness is slightly better than some others, especially the cosmetics section. A bit smaller than some, but overall standard. All the staff I've spoken to were nice. One time I'd let one of the greeters know that there was coke spilling in one of the isles so they could call someone to clean it up and it was cleaned up by the end of my shopping trip. Would be nice if they had cashiers on till more often.

Mid week is a nice time to shop at our Salmon Arm store. Staff are very friendly and helpful. When we ask them where an item is, they walk us over to where it is. A nice Salmon Arm “customer service” touch.

I like coming to this Wal-Mart location. Believe it or not, the layout of the store's interior looks exactly like the one from my old town, Mission, all the way down to the miniature venues along the front. I come to this Wal-mart almost every time I go shopping. Their inventory is fairly priced and have more than any grocery or boutique store would have. The service from the staff is decent, even though I never really ask for their assistance. The customer service could be better when it comes to their return policy. Otherwise, this Wal-Mart is a great place to shop at for most conveniences.

Every single time you come in to ask if you want to MasterCard not the first time at the second time but every single time. I have said no as many times as I plan on saying no so I'm now I'm afraid to shop there because they want to sell me a credit card again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again

Can’t give a zero so had to give one star got followed around the store and when I was trying to leave go picked out of the group of people and asked to empty my basket and show my receipt at the front door

Very poor customer service! Greatly disappointed!I had to return a $15 product with the receipt, but they made me wait and wait while they connect between the departments and no one even said sorry about the wait, have a great day or anything like that. The lady at the customer service just asked me if I was interested in their MasterCard program. I guess this is what matters to them, not clients.Will avoid this store in the future.

I'm not one to complain but really getting sick of buying meat from wal-mart and it goes bad within a day. Spent entirely too much money on bad meat products there, definitely will not be buying Walmart meat products again,and will advise other not to as well, who has money to waste like that.

Item was on the shelf with the wrong price. I asked for the item that was supposed to be there, and they had no stock of it. After waiting awhile for the staff to sort it out, the manager in training refused to even price match the item. Annoyed with the price being wrong, no stock of the item that was suppose to be there, and the manager not budging on any resolution.
