Country grocer is a gem! The produce is stellar and so fresh and of high quality. The staff are helpful, interested and happy. There is great sellection. You can find bargains if you look every week. I love how if you put your receipt in a local charity choice, they donate in the store, country grocer donates 1% of your purchase. What also makes country grocer a further standout (above whole foods abd others), is they offer pick up and drop service vs. Delivery. Nancy the driver is a superstar! And i love how country grocer also offers its staff kudos (where customer put in thei acknowledgements and the staff names going into a draw for a country grocer gift card. Even better on tbe end of each receipt, there is an entry form for customers! Well done country grocer! When will you be coming to vancouver?

Definitely the place you want to grocery shop while staying on Salt Spring. We had a car but read there is a shuttle to/from this complex. Excellent selection of grocery plus liquor, coffee, pharmacy and ready to eat options. Recommend✔️

It's a good store. Staff are really nice and helpful. I am only going 4 stars because I found several items with no price or I had to go hunting for the tag. I left a couple of items on the shelf because there was no price. Also the parking lot is cramped and congested, especially on a Saturday.

Country Grocer appears fantastic. Best outfit on Salt Spring, it would seem. Beneath the surface is an arrogant even corrupt approach to sincere issues. Their firecode violation closing cafe exits must be corrected immediately for public Safety, if they care at all. A month later after notice the fire hazard remains. A very ignorant supervisor fails to understand that a door labelled "fire door" must be usable safely for that stated purpose. Da. They dont care. Is it money or mere stupidity? Or both?
Be sure to go check it yourself, is there still a table and chairs blocking the glass doors in the cafe labelled "Fire Door"? You want to make a mental note of this hazard if tragedy strikes. Do not be fooled by this safety hazard and plan an alternative safe exit remembering the large number of people on this end of the building looking for refuge in the event of fire.

I come to Salt Spring Island regularly and I'm always impressed by their Tuesday 10% off including sale items. I stocked up on coffee because it was $9 a pound and then an additional 10% off. I don't know what deal they have with Creekmore coffee but I was super impressed.
