“I think that each community service provider has its own unique set of staff and volunteers that either make a break a community service to the public. SCCS doesn't claim to be the best and tries as hard as it can to meet the unique needs of individuals as unique situations arise. As always, access to food is slim from food banks. The amount of food usually last a few days from the time of pick up but hopefully as more stores and grovery stories start to help more and put reduced food into the hands of people who need it, not the dumpster, more low income canadian citizens living in poverty can have access to enough food. Please support this community service organization to do that --fresh veggies and herbs from gardens are always welcome year round”

“I love the Legion.

It's full of regulars, which gives it a unique charm. Sit for a while and you'll see neighbours catching up, sharing stories, and welcoming newcomers. There's a genuine sense of community here, it's full of kindness.

The food is consistently solid, the drinks are reasonably priced, and there's almost always live music or something happening.

What I appreciate most is that spending money here supports something bigger than just a meal. It's a place that's been part of the Sechelt community for generations, supporting veterans, local organizations, and creating a welcoming space for people to gather. It's much more than your typical pub, it's a cornerstone of the community.

You don't need to be a member to feel included. If you're visiting the Sunshine Coast, it's well worth stopping in, slowing down for a while, and experiencing a little slice of small town charm.”
