Not knowing where to go, we asked the clerk for a recommendation—and without hesitation, he lit up with local pride and pointed us toward the best beach views in town. Just as he was helping us, a kind-hearted local girl—probably a true Sunshine Coast gem—joined the conversation and told us about Bonniebrook Beach and Secret Beach (which we almost don’t want to share, but it’s too magical to gatekeep).

Their warmth made our day. We left with a great bottle and even better directions, and that sunset? Unforgettable.

“Stopped in during a visit to the Sunshine coast from our home in New West. What we found was one of the very best selections in BC, rivaling anything in Vancouver or the lower mainland. This, AND reasonable prices. I even found a bottle of a limited release whiskey from a North Vancouver distillery. The awesome folks at Noble meats pointed me here for a great red to accompany a porterhouse, and lighthouse liquor did not disappoint.
