Too many buy one get one 50% off sales there. Want to go to the store, I want one thing not two. So I'd rather have something for 25% off. Not allowed with this deal, so I buy nothing. Not sure how the buy one get one 50% off actually helps the store at all.

Purchased at Mark's, the Timberland boots below have been the best work boots I have ever had. After many years of use, in all seasons, I have well and truly had good value for money and have really protected my toes from serious injury, I can assure you.Also from Marks; I have recently purchased some Dakota Aluminum Toe Composite Plate Oxford Lace up Safety Shoes - and what a mistake. I dislike them very much, and will try for a refund/exchange.The Dakota's are as heavy as they look - not at all good for all day walkabout. The worse thing is the thickness of the sole, combined with the low ankle height. More than once, my ankle has cockled over on uneven ground, and the shoes have provided me with NO ankle support. It is an accident waiting to happen.I definitely do not recommend this style of work shoe. Unfortunately, there were no staff available at Marks, to give advice. However, I will return to Marks for other purchases, because of their excellent range.

Very good pricing and helpful sales people. The store does not have the typical MARKS appearance but has the same products. I left feeling well served with what I bought. Needless to say it was not what I went in looking for. Definitely go back. As an aside comment I noticed the sales people took extra time with elderly folk who were maybe not as agile as others. 5 stars from me
