Tanner's Books is a large, full-service bookstore and more with a great selection of books. It offers new releases, bestsellers, and new books in over 50 categories, with lots of books for every reader. You can find a book here that you cannot get anywhere else. The store is nicely organized and has a very friendly, kind, and helpful staff. Nobody harasses you when you browse. It features the largest newsstand on Vancouver Island with more than 100ft of magazine racks, offering an extraordinary selection of over 2000 magazines and 40 newspapers. There is a side Travel and Nautical Room with over 500 paper maps and nautical charts, along with travel guides and reference books. The store also has games, puzzles, calendars, souvenirs, greeting cards, and other fun finds. You can check their inventory online. There is plenty of free parking. It is a great store, a true gem where you could definitely spend hours.
