Rude and unprofessional. Will not help customers and don’t answer calls. Puts you on hold for hours at a time. You can not get in touch with anyone. Do not use CIBC and especially Sooke as they are useless and don’t know what they are there for. They will just hang up on you if they don’t know an answer to your question.

This is usually my Favorite spot. One of the tellers is so sweet. She has the lightest blue eyes, big hair and is always very friendly. The teller I got today however was cold and unhelpful. I wanted to see if I could get a gold released on a big check from the US. She told me no but in an unkind way. The bank was empty and she was acting like I was wasting her time. If it weren’t for the other teller who I tried to see but was busy… I would close my account and bank elsewhere. I think I’m going to pull my deposit as soon as it clears. I’ll let a different bank hold it that treats it’s clientele of 20+ years with more respect. You should be kind no matter what… especially when giving someone bad news.

If you go into this branch to sign any documents and it is the teller Renee that is assisting in the matter be sure that you see all the documents that the signature will pertain to. Be sure that she shows and explains the entire process. She didn't do that with us and we ended up having to retain a lawyer. Thanks to the manager and the CIBC resolution team for their efforts to get this all sorted out.

The tellers are very friendly which is nice but just like all other CIBCs they are understaffed on tellers and only have one person working as a teller. I have not been to the bank to deposit my business cash in a year due to the pandemic. There was a small line up and my transaction took about 15 minutes. The teller seemed slightly annoyed to count so much cash and rushed me out and told me to come back another day to finish my banking as I had other things i needed done as well. I get that he was trying his best but you cant tell people to leave because there is a line up and not let them finish there banking. I gave 4 stars to be nice but this seems to happen at most CIBCs and its frustrating.

Overall I have always been happy with this bank.Most recently Amjad Khan the acting Manager, was a great help with renewing our mortgage.He was so helpful with explanations and answering our questions, and was super friendly. So happy to have a amazing bank so close to home.

Hey if you were the guy ahead of me that day, well you should NOT HAVE REACHED ACROSS THE COUNTERTOP to get your money like that and unloaded all YOUR venom on her...You simply can't reach over the counter and grab money from the teller.... and she just let you know that in no uncertain terms. Get over it! Smarten up!!! EIDJUT (and it's customer not costume!)
